@glucosegoddess is a reference for science-based information about glucose control, and we were so excited when we heard that she published her second book!
We shared copies of the @glucosegoddessmethod book with our partners to test out a few of these delicious, glucose-friendly recipes with our program.
Here’s the first experiment from our new “Testing the Glucose Goddess Method” Series!
As you can see, @sarahgearino_coach found that the apple cider vinegar tea hack improved her glucose response after eating breakfast!
To learn more about our program, visit Sarah’s profile and take our quiz!
And stay tuned for more Glucose Goddess Method experiments.

I really appreciate this! Im obsessed with glucose goddess. I have severe non reactive hypoglycemia and I think her hacks of eating foods in order is helping me to need to eat less frequently. I am also recovering from an eating disorder and I am finding a lot of food freedom from how she talks about it being ok to have that slice of cake as part of your balanced meal. Im following her hacks for two weeks and had a doughnut as my carb for dinner last week and this which I would rarely allow myself. ❤❤❤

Happy for you! Won't the vinegar lower/kill the nutritional value of the food, just like it does to pickled vegetables? Also, how long before the meal should one drink vinegar- 5minutes before or few hours & what's the difference between both? Asking this, as I only drink ACV first thing in the morning & not again on that day. Also, when to eat fruits? TIA

Good job on sticking to your schedule. We wouldn’t have these issues if these chemicals weren’t hidden in foods that are supposedly harmless to us. When dieticians point their fingers at us and say it’s our fault then why aren’t they advocating to stop making our foods so dangerous.

I do something similar minus the apple cider vinegar….warm water and a few dashes of Ceylon cinnamon before a meal does keep your glucose from spiking, and I am plant based and peri menopausal and I tested my glucose the old fashioned way with finger pricks… I know I have to be consistent, especially being peri menopausal to see weight loss, so this will be my new routine

That bar proves nothing - as there's no date, no time on it - but one thing: something casued a smaller glucose spike. We only have anecdotal proof that she ate the same thing - and also, eating berries (you know: different stage of ripeness result in different fructose - eg. sugar levels) is far from an ogtt's strict testing protocol. I'm not a doctor - and if it works for her, or for you: go ahead, and do it; but please refrain from referring to it as "proof".

Glucose Goddess is my fav. I’m a type 1 that gets hit with what is called the Dawn Phenomenon wherein spike in levels of 270 to 300 plus while being on a strict keto diet. And I also take insulin 4 to 5 times a day and one meal a day. 2yrs of being diabetic and doctors are stumped. I was diagnosed at 55 and I’ve haven’t been sick since 1978 with chicken pocks. Or was it the measles?!?! 😂

It’s from high stress hormones which adequate daily carb intake actually reduces and is shown to increase insulin sensitivity in diabetics. Glucagon, adrenaline, and cortisol increases to keep blood sugar from going too low. It increases gluconeogenesis in the liver so it pumps out more and more glucose. It’s a survival mechanism. At night we fast and our blood sugars drop naturally and stress hormones increase. But keto creates a higher need for stress hormones in general

The commerical ultra processed foods that inundated the North America diet since the late 1970s has made people forget how our great grandparents ate naturally just be sure the food choices were much less processed and there were limited choices. Vinegary foods like pickles , sauerkraut etc and eating greens first at a meal was something my grandma born in 1902 did naturally. She was born in Hungary, no convenience foods so you are what the seasons provided except for self-canned food and preseves, these often contained vinegar or were fermented. Our old-world knowledge and practices were, like you said, 'baked in'. At least the Glucose Godess' scientific research and these CGMs are helping people understand how these traditional methods of eating work to keep humans from developing metabolic disorders like type 2 diabetes.
