Exoskeletons already have been made, they are just not super effective It is really hard to make a light and tight exoskeleton, it's more realistic to expect it to only be used to strengthen for a specific task until we figure out prosthetics, because once we have that figured out we can use exoskeletons to strengthen much more effectively as opposed to press a button and it lifts a bit more as you nearly fall over from the weight of what your lifting

Does anyone remember the guy landing in a packed football stadium 40-50 years ago wearing a jet pack? I do. Just looked it up. Super Bowl #1. More like 60 years ago! One was demonstrated to President Kennedy. They actually started developing the 1st one in 1953.

The funny thing is to actually make the suit and the weapons same as iron man the technology is there. The Apache has already got the look shoot helmet and the gun combo. Just needs to be miniaturised.
