Been using the 30mm for about a year now with my 90D and couldn't be happier. This is an underrated Lens and a keeper for sure !

Hey thanks for stopping by! I can totally test that out, however there will be severe vignetting as the 30mm is a crop sensor lens, it actually will vignette worse than that sigma 18-35 will at 30mm

@@ReachFilms Hi. As I know vignetting is completely disappearing on f/1.8 for full frame. So, f/1.8 + speed booster = f/1.2 for crop, this should work. But it is just theory.

I use this lens with a viltrox speed booster on a canon M5 and it vinette less than when I use it on my full ftame camera this is because with the speed booster it behaves like a 33mm so it helps the corners wide open. I agree this is an amazing lens I got it because I use my M5 to travel but I also wanted to use it on my full frame cameras

Hey Jeff, How does this lens stack up to the Samyang/Xeen 35 optics? I have the sigma 18-35/50-100 combo which produce some seriously sharp images (almost too sharp). I might give this lens a go for gimbal work. THanks for the share!

I am not a fan of the Xeen lenses, they are cool because they are cine lense but I find the optics are just not great. I would absolutely recommend this lens over those if you don’t need a cine lens. Both sigma lenses you mentioned are sharper wide open then this one is, but this one doesn’t breathe that much just like the sigma 18-35 (which in hindsight I should of stated in the video) if you find these lenses are too sharp definitely pick up a promist filter

@@ReachFilms how does this compare to the sigma 35mm 1.4 ? I have canon speed booster for red komodo so I can make the 35mm around I think 36 -38 with speed booster and around 52 without it. so basically if I but a sigma 35mm I get a 35mm and a 50mm in one.what are your thoughts on the sigma 35 vs the 30mm?

How did you change aperture of Sigma lens with Komodo? And does that DC lens cover whole Komodo sensor? For 6k shooting?

This is not a dc lens this is a sigma art EF lens so easy to use with Komodo

Does the komodo support electronic control for sigma and tokina ef lenses?

It works with most EF lenses regardless of their manufacture , so far my sigma and tokina lenses work great!

@@MrBazsi888 it can but I would use the red control pro app as it’s made for the iPad vs the normal red control is really just for the iPhone

now my secret has been exposed, it will even work with speedbooster thus netting you with two prime lens sigma art quality for so cheap

very nice! Have not tried with the speed booster yet on Komodo as I am waiting for it to come in. On my BMPCC 4k works well on speed booster but have yet to do a video on it
