Today I am doing a side by side comparison using two new dupe palettes from Alter Ego! As a big fan of both of these brands and an owner of both of the 'duped' Natasha Denona palettes, I just had to see how similar the new Blooms and Canyon palettes were. So here it is! I really hope that Alter Ego brings out a dupe for the Glam palette. I love that palette but can’t afford it and I think Alter Ego has amazing palettes. Fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞🥰

Honestly I didn’t love the Glam palette. A good alternative is the Lorac Noir. I bought both and am returning the Glam palette!

I absolutely love the Glam palette! But the ND Mini Glam palette can really do very similar looks in the larger Glam palette.

I jumped on the Bloom's pallet when I heard Jen Phelps say it was a spot on dupe. Then I went and took the love pallet out of my basket. I'm still planning to order the mini love because there are colors the love doesn't have so neither will the Bloom... and I absolutely love mini's.

The blooms palette is not my color story. I love purple 💜 but too many pinks for me. Your look was beautiful ❤️ as always. Now the canyon palette is calling to me. Love that color story. Great video Mandy. The ND shimmer looks more refined, but the looks turned out really well. Alter Ego don’t ship internationally, so it’s ND for me. 🥰 I’m loving the retro and zendo mini palettes I recently purchased. They’re so pretty. 💗

I really don't need more eyeshadow or palettes, but I admit I am tempted by this Alter Ego brand, I was thinking of the Goddess palette. Regarding ND, I thought about maybe trying one of their mini palettes, maybe....

I own both of these palettes from Alter Ego, as well as a dupe for a Pat Mcgrath palette (called Luster by Alter Ego), and they're near exact dupes. No need to spend ridiculous amounts of money when it's all the same in the end.

I wish Alter Ego would set up their palettes the same way as the ones they're duping. Makes it easier for comparison and the color story always looks better in the original, even though they're all the same shades between both palettes basically.

Your so insanely naturally beautiful mandy and I love your tutorials and channel so much, I purchased the juicy pang blushers upon your recommendation and they are just as you describe I love them! Alter ego is one im going to try as ND is way out of my budget and I couldn't ever warrant paying those prices even if I could afford it especially when there's such quality in ones like the alter ego. As always, you do a great job of creating looks with that Love palette and the Bloom. I can’t quite relate to those shades together; I look at it and just scratch my head wondering where I’d even start. I guess I’m pretty strongly on team neutral, at least to ground a look with maybe a little bit of muted color.

Great comparisons, Mandy. If someone is considering a ND palette with the cream-to-powder formula, I really suggest starting with an Alter Ego dupe to see how that formula works for you. I hated it and ended up getting rid of my Artemis palette, sadly.

I find that the dupe palettes are great alternatives, but I rather invest in one original eyeshadow palette that I'll use daily! I feel like Natasha's $65 palette range is reasonable and trying out her formula is amazing! Thank you so much for demonstrating both, but I'll still keep my eye out for Natasha's palettes. Mandy- GREAT video idea. I love that you are doing two looks. *FYI- I have some color dupes for Charlotte Tilbury Iconic nude: NYX Nude Beige, NYX Sandstorm and Thrive Cosmetics Kackie. That second eye look was GORGEOUS!!!! Love it! I'm super excited I bought the Canyon and I bought the dupe for the Biba I forget the name! It should be coming soon yay! They look gorgeous! I only have 2 ND palettes the Glam and the Safari which I got half off because I can't afford $130 unfortunately. I always wanted the Biba.

Oh my heck, I totally love you, Mandy!!! I just received these two palettes in the mail about a week ago and being the novice I am, I wasn’t sure how to use them. Thanks for posting a tutorial so well timed! 😊 Also, did I guess it or did I guess it! I knew that accent came from Utah. 😉 I used to live there myself. I really struggle with pink and red shadow! I always think I look like I have pink eye. Great video!

You could use a brown or black eyeshadow and place it as a really thin eyeliner really close to your lashes, kind of like she did with the deeper pink shade on the outer part of the eye. The brown/black shadow will cut between the eye and the pink and make it look less like pinkeye. And just don't place any pink shades on the bottom, keep it on the eyelids only. I have this same issue, so this is what I do. 🤗

You look gorgeous! I would really like to see more looks with these palettes. Please share how shipping was and if anything was ever broken or shattered from Alter Ego. II ask because if I buy stuff, it first goes to a warehouse in the US before its shipped to me here in Bahrain. And if anything is damaged then it won't be shipped. Will appreciate the info.

Love your reviews!! Are there glitters in the canyon pallet? I got the Mirage. Love the colours but there are so much glitters. I can not use them because a have contact lenses. So before i do another order i need to know about the glitters;)

I thought that the tone of the reds in the first look seemed a bit different. I agree the 2nd look is pretty much the same but I do kind of like the Alter Ego side better.

I got Bloom, my first Alter Ego palette, a few weeks ago. I think I got a dud. It’s way powdery and lacks pigment. It’s really hard to build up color at all. It doesn’t perform at all like the one you are using. Blergh! I did get the brush set too, and they are really nice.

So sad Alter Ego doesn't ship worldwide! Still patiently waiting for them to add shipping to Europe. Any word about that? So frustrating! So many pretty palettes!
