@@geforce2ultra130 in gaming, yes, but cpu's aren t just for gaming, the 14700kf is 20% faster than the 13700kf in apps, while it costs the same, it s not a new gen, its name is still raptor lake, like the 13th's gen, it is supposed to just replace the 13th gen, basically being slightly better for same price, or forcing the 13th gen to get cheaper

i think you are right, pauls hardware video had his 13th gen outperform the 14th gen in a few games.

thats the irony/aspect too with AMD....the designation/level of CPU more or less has better Silicon/binning process. The lower end....typically SHOULD have a wider range/aspect of variation ultimate OC/headroom/yields. AKIN to r9 cpus having better/more ideal voltage/curves out of the box vs the r7 options dating to the zen2 era even. 3600 vs 3600x just meant one was binned/better silicon that could be more or less viable for a higher tdp/operating range vs the "standard" 3600. Just "ironically" these days AMD hasnt really needed to be as "VESTED" in that process. Though the 5800x definitely needs an end user CV/optimization or PBO2 and so on. To really maximize having a single zen core/cache pool vs an r9's inherent latency/fabric/cache interconnect/intercommunication aspects as an inherent "TOP END" or would be "flagship" "gaming" chip down fall...DATING into the 5800x3D As an "only" option as IF XD considering this interconnect/latency issue has trailed into the 7XXX series of r9/X3D options. AMD is just trying to play sweep it under the rug to act like this isnt true so they can keep schilling to their fanboys. To think of how many shoddy vrm/quality X570 boards had existed that AMD claimed would PUSH r9 chips in that era...theyre still so many hurdles for them while intel offers their "refreshed" flagship at 6ghz out of the box....7900-7950x X3D has inhrent interconnect/fabric latency aspects SMDH. They were launching b550 boards even ITX boards wtih threadripper VRMS on them. BC of how bad the x570s initially launched. It always seems like being an AMD user entails being a "beta tester" for their eventual "new" options down the road.

@anhiirr comment was kinda confusing but I agree I think. The AM4 platform has had a lot of teething issues over the years and i've had a couple bad X570 motherboard go bad as well. Next time around im going intel all the way.

Even at bestbuy or microcenter in the states just dont use a store account i guess idk. Its still equal to spending as much as an i9 or R9 damn near. That process. and most consumers wont do this anyways.

it has better IMC memory controller, but still not that significant than 13600k. better to wait 15600k

These benchmarks are already CPU bound so faster GPU won't make a difference.

@@Bilal.Hussain.Shaikh 1. They make cpus pretty much every year 2. They already seem to be better than Ryzen so there's not much competition 3. Seems like the only cpu that's better is the i7 14700k because it got more cores and is now comfortably above Ryzen 7900x.

To utilize/benchmark a CPU, you have to lower the resolution to make the workload CPU bound. On high resolutions workloads become GPU bound and the CPU is utilized less, which would defeat the purpose/goal of this test.

I mean if im going to wind up playing an un optimized polished turd...it may as well be in the highest fidelity possible vs some sub max monitor refreshrate...overshot/ghosting end game "SETUP" while ppl are tinkering with b-die or overclocking their ram/cpu XD to hit g-sync at 240hz in "warzone" or some other bs FREE game....again whille throwing down 2-3k on a setup LMFAO. IMO ppl with that purchasing power but not a shred of "KNOW HOW" deserve to be suckered anyways. Nothing to cry about. If you want something worth being hyped about at least the "new n shiny" refresh cpus/boards are going to lower the price of what had previously existed. Thats pretty good for ppl with intent to "upgrade". From something dated/slow etc. EITHER way imo...ppl still fail to realize a lower end/entry level intel cpu can easily sip power/temps for PURE GPU sided loads/4k gaming...with no need for heavy investment on ram/cpu cooling and a larger BUILD budget that can be placed/skewed towards a 4090....which MANY gamers/consumers fail to admit/know/realize.

it’s not worth it, the difference in performance with the 13th generation is 3-5%, it’s not worth switching to the 13th generation, then why switch to the slightly more powerful 14th generation? wait a year and take a new generation Intel, or take an AMD am5, you can still live on an LGA 1200
