*IMPORTANT*
Yeah, I know... I just copied and pasted the Mortal Kombat description here. It's 4 AM, and I don't feel like typing a whole new thing. =P
I may upload some other arrangements I've done based upon how well this does. This includes some Mario and Legend of Zelda songs. =)
*DESCRIPTION*
This is an arrangement I made using a MIDI file of Tetris Theme A.
I would like to point out a couple of things before you guys start critiquing it.
1) It is currently a MIDI file, as I have not yet been able to a real recording/performance of the piece. I apologize, but it's all I have so far.
2) That little diddy at the end was something for me to try and put an end to the song. Not the best, but good enough for me. Mix it up, see what you can come up with as an actual ending. =P
3) Yes, the key is funky... I had to change it so that the range was do-able for the Trombones; the original target group. A friendly key is also nice. =P
4) This song is free for you all to use on your own. I hosted it here specifically for that purpose. Please don't flame me too bad for trying to be helpful. =P
And of course, if you decide to try it on your own, feel free to experiment with it. See what makes it sound good. If you can as well, post it on KZfaq as a reply. I'd love to see how well it is performed. =)

As far as I know, the only difference is octaves in the 3rd part. I altered those after I filmed this to create a slightly easier 3rd/Bass bone part. To change it back, you would merely need to play a few of the notes down. I'll try to upload another version, with the original jumps in place.

YES! I have to get my Trio to do this for B-Ball Band! Go Trombones! That Bass/third part is a little tricky, but I like it, I'll have to make it louder ^^

Yeah, it's definitely playable. You are correct about the third/bass trombone's intervals are a little intense, but it's nothing that most 'bonists can't handle.

Well I know, but you have to jump up octaves quickly and sometimes change positions just as quickly. And you need an F attachment too, I had meant that it looked a bit tricky.

@wilsenrocks Yep. Baritones and trombones typically play the same range, so you would be fine in playing any of these parts on a baritone.

... the entire point of this video is the middle section. This video is supposed to show off sheet music I made for Trombone Trio. The opening and credits songs are just to give someone the knowledge of what the sheet music is of...

i wouldn't call this unplayable, but you've got to be pretty good to do it. i personally can't make it sound good. but you can always play the easy version which has repeated notes instead of octave jumps

You can use the Finale Reader, which is free, so you don't need the full version. Beyond that, no. There's no other way to open the files (unless you have a program that can open MIDI files as sheet music).

actually that's a common practice, the bass in performance is to treat it almost as a written cadenza in terms of speed and style, like a mini solo

I have one too...I can play the bass part but I still wouldn't call it easy. I'd love to see you play it though if it's easy for you, I'm always up for watching kick ass bone players.

hehehe. my friend can just write down the notes when he hears the song on the radio. I said I couldn't do that and he was shocked. he was like "WHAT!? IT'S SO EASY!"

@musicmajor1993 There is no such thing as a "wrong key"; you can transpose it to G, D, or even C sharp if you wanted to, and it would still sound the same. Also, it's not even in a major key.

The only real trombone trio music I have is stuff that I've transposed. There's quite a few more videos on KZfaq featuring trombone trio sheet music. I'd browse around here.

This goes down to a low Bb in fast sixteenth notes for trombone? That's very challenging even w/ a bass trombone... Impossible on a tenor trombone.

0:43 (the first of the 2 bars) you cant put a fermata in only some of the voices. there should be one on the bass note also.

Personally, I couldn't just listen to a song and just pick out notes and their harmonies, along with rhythm support, on my own. The basic phrase, possibly, but otherwise, no. So, I have to look off previously made versions; like Piano music, or even a Midi file. From there, I transpose it into a playable trio section for Trombones, or whatever else is included in the ensemble.

@TheEuphoniumGuy i'm an 11th grade, look up mnozil brass william tell and listen to the trumpet rins. i can play that on trombone, euph, fhorn, and tuba, i'm also one of the only people whos not pro who can play filght of the bumble bee And green hornet on trombone, f horn, euph, and tuba. but i dont brag this is the first time i ever have so suck it! and i know you cant do those things!

For a trombone, if the key has flats, you use flats when referring to Gb or Ab or Bb or any flat. P.S. this reply is a little late.
