I'm a 33-year-old combat veteran, I'm planning to work for this next year, learn to sail, and then sell everything and buy a sailboat. Wanting to sail has become an obsession for me and something I can't shake out of my mind. I absolutely cannot wait for this next step in my life ad for some adventures! Cheers man!

What difference does being a combat make for sailing? I am a vet too but dont feel the need to tell everyone so I am curious why you preface it with that first when it has no bearing on the post. Also having 69 in your name seems a bit pervy and hard to take seriously.

19:28 Hey! I think I saw that particular ship (EURONAV Freighter) in its slip when were doing the Port Aransas Regatta a couple of weeks ago. Looks you caught it just as it was leaving.

Yeah, it was neck to neck for a minute. The tugs tethered to each end was sweet

GREAT TX 200 vid series Ziggy! You have a knack for picking really great background tunes for your vids. I'm just getting caught up on my YT channels, as our annual trip out to Catalina was the same week as the TX 200 this year. Man, what a huge difference there is between sailing the TX ICW and crossing the San Pedro Channel! You're dodging Tstorms and barges, we're dodging container ships ...

I put hours into the music tracks stretching and shortening songs to get it just right. I'm glad you noticed. Thanks, Zig

- always love these long adventures of yours. Do you get any water in the amas ?
@ZiggyLavengood6 күн бұрын
even on the trailer they get water from the humidity. but they might get some water in them but not enough to be a problem.

Hey Captain, looks like another fun run for you all down there in those dirty brown Texas waters! Is that friend of yours who built his boat earlier on this race?

Yes, buddy. That's it in the thumb nail

Thanks for the fun video. When you are pulling ashore each night, how are you securing the boat. Just one line ashore and grounded, or do you put out a stern anchor as well?
@ZiggyLavengood8 күн бұрын
Depends on the situation. I put a sand spike into the beach, a stainless steel rod about 3 ft long. I need be I throw a 2nd anchor out behind me if I'm worried I might drift back and forth and hit another boat.
