The longest part of these hunts must be loading mags.
@LoneStarBoars10 ай бұрын
Usually have at least ten stuffed ready to go. Just top them off while looking for the next group.
@DonutVIP10 ай бұрын
I always wonder that also, fun to go thru mags but hate loading them especially when hogs are near by

@@LoneStarBoarsyall should bait a site and have like 200lbs of tannerite next to the bait... shoot the tannerite when the pigs group up to eat. Like a mortar strike

@@jonnhyappleseed7498 There are videos of people doing this, they also put buckets of nails and other metal scrap to create shrapnel
@kylesmith45992 ай бұрын
@@jonnhyappleseed7498no no no. You need a 5gallon bucket with a 2 pounds of tanderit. Fill the bucket full of bolts and nuts halfway put the tanderit then fill the rest with more bolts and nuts. THEN you put a 1 Inch thick plate on top of the bucket so everything gets pushed horizontally. And hope you’re not where the plate lands. Oh and put a hand warmer infront of tanderit so you can see it in thermal

Listening to the engine sound, was wondering what the result would be if you were in an electric buggy. Would the lack of revving cues make it easier to get into the sounder, would it confuse them?
@LoneStarBoars10 ай бұрын
I think a electric buggy will work great. Just waiting on technology to catch up. Need range power and suspension.

Do you use your range finder much with N Vision scope? I'm not sure if the range finding display records, but it looks like it would have helped out a lot on those long shots you were missing. I am in the market for thermal and am not sure if the rangefinder units are worth it vs getting more resolution or a secondary LRF handheld
@LoneStarBoars10 ай бұрын
Yes the range finder is awesome. It is very hard to judge range with thermal. After the shooting I used the range finder to get the ranges listed in the video. These pigs were about to wind us so it was a rushed deal, and I did not turn it on. Most of the time I turn it on. The range will show in the recorded video when It is turned on.
@biggwigg33810 ай бұрын
@@LoneStarBoars I gotcha. Thanks for the feedback. I love watching all your videos especially the vehicle based hunts. We had a hog problem on our farm and got a bunch with remote camera traps. I'm starting to see a comeback though and like the excuse to go ahead and get a thermal weapon sight lol.
@LoneStarBoars10 ай бұрын
Can’t beat the Nvision. Also most of those shots were hits just far back more center shots so they were not dropping right away. With a suppressor you can hear when you hit them. Unfortunately the mic didn’t pick it up at those ranges.
