Europa hat den Song leider nicht geliebt, eigentlich eine Schande, aber Deutschland liebt dieses Lied noch heute. Auch 2024 noch sehr regelmäßig im Radio zu hören im gesamten Land.

I remember I couldn't watch the show because I was on holidays that day and the next day I read in the newspapers that they ended 15th out of 24. That was a shock. Good to know that they were No. 1 in Germany and you still can here this song on radio ❤️🇩🇪

It's a good song but they made the staging too much about themselves. It had nothing to do with the song. Why cactuses and stands with the band's name on it? What does it have to do with the song? Unless you are exceptional performers, which they are not, it is not going to work.

In my opinion the best German entrys are 1975 (without ANY doubt the most underrated song in ESC history) 1972 with 2006 coming in a good 3rd

She wrote this song for her niece whose father died. She will forever love by her sharing her love. It is so powerful and something so deep in what seems a light hearted song at first! True art!

I didn’t know that, thank you for sharing. One of my all time favorites and shamefully ignored at eurovision. At the time i was living a great love and it spoke to me to a deeper level. Glad i was lucky enough to watch it live at the finals.

10.06.2006 hab ich mein mann kennengelernt und das lied lief da bei auch als wir uns geküsst haben kamm dieses lied und als als wir zusammen kammen lief das lied auch und als er mich nach hause gefahren hat lieft das lied auch 🥰🥰🥰und wenn es mal im radio kommt machen wir und denken an die 15 jahre zurück 🥰🥰🥰das lied hat bei uns ein platz im herzen

Im from Estonia and one day i was watching some gameshow in tv with my family. Suddenly i was hearing familiar song with estonian language. I have been watching eurovision every year so i knew something was off. I took my laptop and showed them this and my family was like „Oh you eurovision nerd why cant you be this good at math? ” Seems like this song is still rock solid in 2018 and i hear it in radio in my native languge. Good job Germany :)

And people say that country isn't loved in Eurovision... Well, if not, then the Netherlands wouldn't got 2nd place this year and Germany 14th place in 2006. No No Never was a hit back in 2006. And I think it's one of the best entries Germany ever send to ESC.
