It will be internesting what Dan Quinn does with him. Definately making big play after big play in these highlights. Pats took a similar player in Mapu who might be undervalued. Hybrid LB's who can cover and rush the passer. Basically spell Micah Parsons and Judon. Dan Quinn likes using that safety/linebacker. I honestly don't know if he will do anything at the next level. The hype is always wrong on these picks before hand as far as what teams are doing. but I'm liking what I see from both teams. Getting creative. I'm just glad the hype is over for a little while although there will be more dumb rumors tomorrow. Like trading Prescott and Mac Jones.. The media is so bad every year. I like the picks that actually happened. But beforehand there were more rumors than anything and this happens every year.

I like what the cowboys are doing. I can envision what they are trying to do in my head but whether it works out that way comes down to coaching. I'm glad they went defense as I have more faith in Dan Quinn than I do Mike McCarthy as an offenseive coordinator. Even Schoonmaker though fits as a check down receiver for what Mike McCarthy wants to do. THey basically got their blocker/3rd down specialist in Schoonmaker imo. Kind of like a cross between Moose Johnson and Jason Witten that way where I envision Schoonmaker basically being just that with a name like that. He can do a lot of things and it's not like the other tight ends were doing anything that really stands out. I get the hype for Mayer but he's not Gronk. Schoonmaker stands out int hat he can do a lot of things. Overshown is more robin to Parsons batman. With Mazi clogging the middle and as double teams come this guy can shoot the gaps and teams will get confused as far as who to cover. He looks like a guy who can shoot the gaps and drop back into coverage. Whether it will work out that way we will see, but I like what they did in theory going defense. Cowboys already have a top offense. They need some rb depth but with Mazi and PArsons they should have a top 5 defense for the next decade. This guy is just icing. He'll have to play more a role and that nickel backer when they want more coverage or a rush. Kind of like a slot safety who can rush the passer and drop into coverage. They have their corners set now with Diggs and Gilmore and Lewis who is more a coverage player. I expect them to open up their offense more too. If McCarthy doesn't get too enamored with Schoonmaker he can really be that jackknife tight end who can do a lot of things. All 3 of their first picks are very good on paper.
