The guy hosting the show is clearly in love with himself - the whole opening montage is shots of HIM - pointing his finger - telling people what to do - being bossy, running his fingers through his hair - what a TOOL!

Thank you so much for sharing this interview with the too-little-seen Debra Winger. She's smart, brilliant, and non-Hollywood beautiful.

she is so funny...ahaaahah at 8:42... I love her, she's so down to earth...and I think she is an amazing actress! Who cares if she didn't get along with some people she worked....

One of the more authentic people in Hollywood, which is why she left that mess.

"Dancing with Shiva"/"Here Today" was eventually titled "Rachel Getting Married," where she played Anne Hathaway's mom. She didn't have that much screen time, but she's who I remember most from that film - she was fantastic.

Chris Gatchalian if she had more screen time I think she would have been oscar nominated

I can see why no one will work with her. I like her authenticity though.

She’s unedited. Probably not political. Too bad she can’t make new films.

Debra Winger doesn't play the Hollywood game. You could say she has integrity and speaks her mind. Maybe she's a bit too blunt at times. But isn't it refreshing to see an actor/actress who doesn't put on a fake smile and pretend every film they're in is wonderful and everyone they work with is great?

Debra Winger let her angered feelings for Shirley Maclaine go, because she allowed her pictures from Terms Of Endearment to be put in the movie The Evening Star. So she has left the past in the past.

Actors are people that are very talented at Lying - that's why acting comes so easy to them.

They are also broken people with not true identity, which is why they are so convincing shapeshifting. It is what they do 24-7 in the real world.

Sabatino DI FILIPPO, Writer and Medical Doctor, Italy, Catanzaro.

Debra Winger is an accomplished actress. As a person she is like slow drying milk paint. No wonder her career has fallen so sharply.
@stevegoldstein19598 жыл бұрын
Her career fell "so sharply" as a direct result of her big mouth. She seemed to have pissed off many people with her negative views about them ... she had a problem with "everyone" at various levels. Pound for pound, she is not a great actress at all, she has a nice face and had "some/few" great acting moments in film. If she was so good at her craft (and everyone else so stupid) , then why was "Big Bad Love" the most pathetic ($$) thing virtually ever produced?
@stevegoldstein19598 жыл бұрын
Btw, accomplished or not, your product still has to generate revenue in order to justify making another (new) product. Big Bad Love was a total flop ... Arliss Howard is a better actor with less celebrity status.
@WithoutRemorse126 жыл бұрын
Steve Goldstein White males are given so many chances to make their careers happen. Male actors usually get their best roles in their 40s. Females usually get their best roles in their 20s. In their 30s female actors then get typcast in mom roles. Hollywood structurally is run by white males.They are the ones greenlighting films and its generally films from their world experience.
@nealm67643 ай бұрын
@@stevegoldstein1959 wasn't Big bad love Arliss's pet project? I dated a woman who loved that movie and she insisted I watch it with her. Longest 2 hours of my life, and I made sure I took every bit of it out on her ass that night in bed. I don't think Arliss is much of an actor. At least Debra has Officer and a Gentleman to hang her hat on. She was great in that.

playing Wonder girl is considered "on the low end"? GEZZZ not every actor or actress is going to start off with a Great Oscar nominated Role.. you have to start at the bottom of the ladder and work your way up... you don't start at the top.

she is waaaaay out of the interviewer's league

Who conducted the interview? Luckily Debra didn´t need a good question to keep talking. Evan Smith is such a boring and bad interviewer. And indeed, he is so humorless!
@SPMJ12 жыл бұрын
Rather boring questions prepared by the interviewer. How about actually asking her about her career? Her favorite performances? Best movie? Disappointments? Costars and so on. I want to hear Debra talk about HERSELF, not others.

I like Debra Winger but her talking about going places and remaining unknown, I'm guessing that she could pry do that at just about anywhere these days.
