I met her like 10 years ago in NYC. I didn't want an autograph or even a photo. Just to tell her that I love her movies and I was a huge fan. I was polite, and normal. She told me "I don't like to be bothered". Didn't even give me eye contact.

Because men like this do their job either poorly or unprofessionally, and when something goes wrong they throw women like her, who had to tediously correct the unprepared coworker, they throw them under the bus. Because they all do it, and they believe that this is their fault. She's difficult because she was righter than me. She will difficulty cause scene because you hadn't prepared for your job... Totally her fault. He's the assholea here. Treat Debra dang Winger with some respect. She's earned it.

Am I crazy, but I didn't see one thing wrong or uncomfortable with this interview! She was just being a bit vague with her answers and didn't want to speak negatively about anyone. Andy lost control of the interview and didn't like it! Winger is a tough cookie! She isn't going to sit there and let Andy fuck with her for his own personal entertainment!

The funny thing is that this show isn't a serious interview type show (clearly by the questions). so the point is to just laugh stuff off and roll with the punches. It's a shame that they both didn't get that memo and couldn't get over themselves to just have fun. Poor Andy. Debra was an absolute pain to watch and I hope to never see her again.

I agree! Granted, I didn't watch the whole show, but she just seems really straightforward and has a wry sense of humor. I thought she was just giving him shit for not knowing that she didn't talk about McClaine in her book (his researchers are at fault for that one) and, if I hadn't ever been asked about kissing my co-stars, I wouldn't have an answer for that unless it was completely miserable. Also, I feel like only women are asked questions like that. Anyway, it feels a little blown out of proportion

Well after seeing some of these comments I don't feel so bad now when I say how (very much) disappointed I was to watch, and to listen to, Debra Winger. And the reason I watched Andy Cohen in the 1st place was Only because I knew she wld be On!! I Cldn't wait!! But Now I ask, "Why the hell did She even bother coming on," when for the Entire time, it was Obvious that She Cld NOT be Bothered, continued to answer in Disgust, and seemed that she Didn't even want to be there! This was sad. SHE was Sad. And now I just wish that I remembered her the way she Was and Didn't watch at all!! Debra, next time PLS do us all a favor and Stay home

I don’t think she was that bad. I just think she’s the type of person who really becomes whatever role she’s playing at the time, and she’s done so many roles to the point where she’s just kind of learned to leave each role behind so that she can fully commit to the next role. I just think she was being herself. I don’t think she was being mean or rude or anything. I just don’t feel like she meant any harm.

I didn't think Debra was out of line. You ask stupid questions, you're going to get a blunt response and Debra doesn't suffer fools' gladly. I mean, how are you going to ask Debra about her feud with Shirley MaClaine that she wrote about, which she didn't as that came from Shirley's book, and then try to save face by saying you read the book. First, you didn't because you just quoted stuff that wasn't in Debra's book and second, like what do you expect Debra to say when asked about the men she's kissed? She's not that kind of "movie star". To be honest, I liked her tough approach. I get the sense that she expects you to earn her respect and I kind of love that.

If you don’t get it you shouldn’t go on a show like this,it’s not meant to be really serious,it’s meant to be silly and fun and if you’re personality doesn’t have either you’re on the wrong show.

40 years before this, Andy had no pubic hair at that point. I was 16 and knew how misogynistic Hollywood was at at that point. I don't blame her for trying to assert some radical ideals in her behavior.

She's on a Talk Show. A talk show where she Knows that she's gonna be asked Questions. And a Specific talk show that is KNOWN for shady questions. If you can't handle it - then don't sign up to be a guest on the show!

Why go on the show if you're going to act like that? The show is light-hearted and fun, and Ms. Winger is definitely not. She looked smug and insufferable.

A question like "rank kisses of your male peers from decades ago that were part of a performance" is a stupid and an outdated question and her answer was on point. You wanna be cheeky, you could ask something like "rate them from favorite to least favorite to work with" for instance.

I thought she was funny, memorable and a breath of fresh air. Yeah, the plead the fifth bit ended on an awkward note, but it at least was interesting and she made good points. In my opinion his shows have gotten a bit dull, too much the same, this one was a cold glass of water in the face, and was needed.

I get that his questions are ridiculous but that’s what this show is supposed to be, ridiculous, she shouldn’t have come on this show if she wasn’t gonna play along. But she does have a point, as an interviewer Andy should have his facts straight

It seemed to me that Ms Winger didn't want to say anything dumb or inaccurate about people she knows and has worked with, so all she did was tell the truth..Why is this called "Being Difficult"? EDIT: Just watched on Colbert's show and yeah, she is really trying (too?) hard not to say "The Wrong Thing" during an interview but not trying to be "difficult" IMO.

I get that these questions are rather stupid, but she is on Watch What Happens Live on Bravo. Did she expect hard hitting journalism when her agent booked her on this show? That being said, the situation hardly warrants that much hostility.
