They just restored power this afternoon in Livingston.. I watched ambulance after ambulance going up and down the street I live on the last 3 days.. Not sure what all these power workers are doing in their every day job, but what I seen is trees knocking down power lines.. well you got your power lines right along a tree line.. what do you expect will happen when storm comes.. it will knock down all the trees into the power lines.. that is terrible management in my humble opinion.. time for the director of operations to find all these trouble spots and clear trees away, in fact you can get some logger companies to award them some contracts, they can pay the state so much for the logs they take in certain areas near the power lines.. I am sure logging companies would love logs for the cheap!! There should be no trees next to power lines which could put a million people out of power.. its ridiculous. And Livingston has a dam also which is ready to burst, and what should happen is, get federal funding and build a hydro dam for Livingston.. it would bring in more cheap power, and would help to support further the Livingston area.. trees knock over some power lines 150 miles away and Livingston is without power.. and honestly, power lines should be put underground.. then you do away with all these power line problems every time a storm runs through..

Yes, they are frustrated but that does not excuse gathering in crowds around line crews - most of whom have come into Houston from places 100's of miles away to help - and shouting abuse, curses, throwing bottles and rocks -- all to get the power on quicker? No wonder the world is such a mess - too many places where civility and love of neighbor no longer exist.
