While I am excited about the Adidas deal with Mahomes, I have ZERO problems with Under Armor, they've been very good to us. It may not ended as well as it did when we were their 2nd big school to sign with them, but they dumped their original slogan from "Cotton is the Enemy" for us and gave us nationwide pub with "Protect this House" Crabtree field rush commercial. However, having a face of the apparel company be a happy alum who wants to reinvest in his alma mater, is something none of us thought we'd ever have. Jordon is always associated with the Bulls and almost never with UNC, but Mahomes will be KC and Tech. Nike was never good for us and would never be good for us. We should NEVER do Nike, Chris did a great job of how we are just another team for Nike. Hocutt seems to have bounced back from the Wells hire.

But lets be honest if I was Lebron James at the age of 18 in soccer things would have happened a little differently. Its all in the past. I remember my soccer shoe almost melting away when I played on artificial turf one time. The heat on the turf must have been 140 degrees +. No more red helmet? Noooo 😆. Good stuff guys. As the great philosopher Mars Blackmon once said, " It's gotta be the shoes." UA shoes have a terrible rep as Chris said. I don't know about the other sports, but I would not be surprised in the least if it was found out that Tech basketball lost one or more recruits because of UA shoes. I don't know if this still exists, but there was a time when a basketball recruit would only sign with a school that had the same shoe company that sponsored their AAU team. Track might get a boost as well. I saw quite a few Adidas in the U.S. Olympic track and field trials last week.
