There's no need for any justification whatsoever for buying one of the coolest things on Earth - a 50 BMG semi auto rifle is to firearms what a Ferrari V12 is to cars.

Bought one in 2010, reloading since 2011. You don't own a 50 BMG, it owns you! Reloading is the way to go to get best performance out of this cannon.

I have the same in FDE. Anti-material and Tyranny weapon. It still gives me the giggles when I fire it. Simplistic and sexy. The damn optics to shoot accurately cost as much if not more than the weapon. Defend the second! Cheers

Good for you on getting this piece of mechanical art. I had the same feeling of just wanting it, so I know how you feel but "all" I could get was S&W .44 magnum & a Henry Big Boy to match. You might want to check into reloading your rounds sure makes it easier to enjoy & frequency of shooting.

I bought mine from gun broker too. The exact same one. I did it because of the same reason it is my dream gun. I saw the price and couldn’t believe it. I had a good deal on a brand new one Just got to get the ammo and a scope for mine. But yeah 29” and dark grey just like yours. It is a beauty.

I love this rifle. If I could get a weapon, it'd definitely be a M82A1, but I cant get one in my country so I'm thinking about getting the miniature to put it on my desktop lol.

I agree with many of the folks commenting. You have absolutely zero explaining to do about why you made such a purchase. THAT is serious battle weapon. I hope you have a range nearby that will allow you to shoot it. Thank you for sharing this experience.

A 0.50 is no joke. The accuracy is amazing, the hardware, holy moly and the round it takes. You should have changed the budd stock.

Everything is bigger in Texas, even our plinking! Haha, I've got 220 rounds of .50 MG. Cheapest I've found is a local guy selling 647 grain in once fired brass for just $2 a round. Not bad at all!

That'll be an expensive grouping! Haha. Honestly though this thing would't be capable of a good group unless I was shooting 750 grain Hornady A-Max ($7 a shot) I'll be shooting mostly 647 and 660 grain ball ammo. Worth a try anyways haha. I heard it punches 1.5-3 MOA. That may sound lame but it sustains that for quite some ways out.

You just need a few Raufoss rounds, That's what I run threw my Barrett M107A1 when I need the max bang. lookin good, They actually have more felt recoil with the suppressor on it. Still not bad recoil , just good shove. Between hogs and Zombies we have a lot to shot at here in Texas.
