The International Quilt Museum presents "Cloth Discussions." Curator of Collections Carolyn Ducey and Guest Curator David Hornung will discuss our new exhibition opening Sept. 4, "Cloth Constructions." Guest curator David Hornung has selected 11 artists who embrace a spirit of experimentation that reflects prevailing trends in textile construction. These artists’ work honors tradition while pointing to the future.

Textile Talks are a series of weekly virtual presentations and panel discussions from the International Quilt Museum, Modern Quilt Guild, Quilt Alliance, San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles, Studio Art Quilt Associates and Surface Design Association. The programs are held online via Zoom at 2 p.m. Eastern on Wednesdays.

It’s brilliant to hear David Hornung speak from a fine art perspective about these beautiful works - it really is enlightening and educational. His knowledge is so deep and his appreciation for the sensibility of the individual artists is a great bonus. Many thanks.

Loved hearing David’s talk. Having taken a few classes with him, it was great to hear his art speak again. Thank you!

This was such an informative and enjoyable presentation. Thanks for making it possible for us to hear David speak and to get a glimpse into how he thinks as a curator. (Can I say I'd like to be him when I grow up?) I love his phrase: "art for contemplation".
