The March 15, 2023 Textile Talk featured a Quilters’ Save Our Stories (QSOS) interview with printmaker, surface designer, textile artist, and author Jen Hewett. Lisa Woolfork, founder of Black Women Stitch and the Stitch Please podcast, served as the QSOS interviewer.
QSOS is an oral history project founded in 1999 by the nonprofit Quilt Alliance. It is the largest collection of first-hand accounts of quiltmaking, both present-day and in living memory, in the world. Our archive for the digital recordings is the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History at the University of Kentucky Libraries. The original audio recordings and photographs are archived at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress. You can read and listen to QSOS interviews on the project website.
