Close to 20 hours in blender, barely know how to do some stuff. I had to use my ADHD hyperfocus to follow this vid (along with the other 2 from the Trex) and I'M ABSOLUTELY AMAZED BY IT! Thank you so much for making this, I'm thoroughly convinced that I'll be able to do this, maybe at a smaller scale. Not because it looks easy, but because it looks challenging, and the workflow you follow made me realize how trully AWESOME the software is in tackling solutions to problems I didn't know existed. I was already in love with blender but you made it x10000. I appreciate that. Subbed and I'll save up for your gumroads :D

@@martinkobimbo8090 so glad you asked! I made a couple friends in the industry and we've been working and learning together. I'm surprised that 5 months have happened this quick. We made 3 locations for a metaverse project, building from the ground up and making functional props inside it. All in blender. It was a really rewarding challenge. And just this week, I was hired to do a character with animations. So I used sculpting, then retopology and texture painting on adobe substance. Then bones and a bit of animation, nothing fancy. Really happy with the results, specially because this was my first solo paid 3D project. Journey is still going! n.n and it's not gonna stop

I would consider using this method, but instead I will have mutable image imports. This will really help me save time. Especially when I can not guarantee the UV map and mesh will not change. The last thing I want to be doing is retexturing on unstable meshes and UV maps.

Nothing happend after setting Initial Color My model just show default black texture on it Whats a problem? video time code 3:30 I also using blender 3.3 and Objects Data do not contains Vertex Colors, but it contains Color Attributes, as i understand it's combined Vertex Colors and something else from latest version of blender, right? oh I just foun a solution SOLUTION: In your target object shader you have to change basecolor of "Principled BSFD" node from texture node to node named as "Attribute"

I don't know why anyone would choose not to use UDIMS when they know they could... Especially when a creature of this size should get more texture space for extra texture detail... Also, you fully rigged it just to get a static pose? Why not just use a lattice modifier?
@CriticalGiants
@CriticalGiants 2 жыл бұрын
Hi there, So I avoided using UDIMS because I wantede to potentially use it in a game engine, which generally does not support UDIMS, and I did not rig it just to get a static pose, I rigged it so I can animate it later. But I would also rig a model just to pose it, to faster and more easily play around with a pose. A lattice modifier would not be a good fit for posing sculpts.

this is a joke, not a critique, but i find funny comparing: > just press button to paint ... not very performant to > apply modifier at max sub div, click 30 buttons on all sides of the screen, open 5 tabs, create 2 uv maps, take 2 textures and bake them, be sure to use the Alpha 3.0 Build ... and THEN press a button to paint 😄😄😄 Blender ... why people find it hard smh 0_0

It was fun for a while, but for the most part it's annoying. It is hard to find a lesson like 1h long nowadays just to relax and sink in - everyone tries to be 1min smartass.

Like regardless of whether or not these type of videos are actually high quality and contain useful information, it still feels too intentionally fast paced for you to actually retain all essential info.
