Though the TF2 bot crisis has been going on for almost a couple years now, you can't help but notice how diverse and colorful the bots have become on casual matchmaking servers. This video serves to inform viewers about the many different stereotypes seen with these bots in particular.

Very informative. Love that you covered Bible Bots, I miss those darn things. Though I will point out, boat rolls don’t really work anymore (because of the new 90 second vote cooldown) with an exception to freshly started servers. Other than that, really great video.

Bible bots did come back like a month or two ago, (at least in the Virginia servers, I dont know if they were anywhere else) but they abruptly vanished lol

A storm of nostalgia came over me with hearing these bots and seeing them from the past... man I came during the bot crisis when first playing TF2 and I have a lot of good and bad memories. Present day there aren't as many bots, and if there are they swiftly get kicked and they are so easy to counter nowadays. Now it's just the war of the cheaters vs players, I see as many cheaters almost as much as the bots. The war has always been imminent but now since they know Valve won't do anything they reign in most servers until people wise up and get kicked.

There was, a few months back, an engineer bot of some variety. When I initially discovered it I had assumed it was a fresh bot or someone's first attempt at making one, because it habitually got stuck on corners, failed to upgrade its' buildings, and could not detect cloaked spies (unless they uncloaked or the engineer bumped into them). It was very weird seeing such an incompetent bot. Long story short, I harassed it with a red tape recorder because I was bored. And no, it didn't know how to remove sappers either.

Thanks for the info, I was wondering why people thought I was a bot while playing medic (I was tired and hadn't played the game in 10 years, was the only medic on the team and everyone was spamming the 'medic!' call so I just got confused and tried to heal them all). Still had a lot of fun and managed to prove I was human before I was kicked haha

Adding valve bots to less alive casual servers is a good idea. They're not as busted as CS:GO bots were (or God forbid 1.6 expert bots), and I find they have a lot of personality and charm

The day I first started playing, I didn’t know about the bots. So I joined a server, and my team and the enemy team were all just full of sniper bots. The enemy team and my team weren’t killing each other. And were just spinning around. I thought that it was some dumb trend ppl do. I literally thought these were real people. So after I got sniped the first time I respawned as a sniper hoping I wouldn’t get killed again. I got killed again.

I had no idea that there were "harmless" bots like the medic bots and spycrab-bots. In fact, it's actually kind of cool that someone made a medic bot for pubs, since no one ever plays medic in casual.

I once saw a pyro bot, he was named pyro bot and made weird sounds without using mic. He also said things like “let’s cancel omegatronic” I never saw anyone else who saw or talked about that bot.

There one set if you ever seen it I call it the groupie bots where the bot hoster (sniper mostly) and five medic on the hoster to keep ubers chaining. Then the other groupie set I call the firing squad hoster, two sniper bots, three medic bots keeps all three sniper alive. But if team swap hoster will leave the server and bots there lol.

Their are not that powerful because of the instantaneous headshot they give, if you be smart enough you can obliterate them, make medic recharge uber and them the tables are turned.
