I would argue the Zatoichi is better for sustainability than the Eyelander. +25hp on kill pales in comparison to +100hp on kill the Zatoichi can provide, especially if you trigger overheal. At max, you're gunna get 235hp with the Eyelander. Even without overheal using the Zatoichi, you still die to 4 melee hits. But at max overheal, it takes 5 melee hits if you're using the Zatoichi. The speed may sound like a positive, but when used in tandem with the tide turner and booties, I find more often than not I miss my charges due to simply being too fast.

i'd argue that the eyelander isn't the best sword mainly because the health benefits do basically nothing outside of being able to tank an extra hit with the base jumper, with booties you still get 4 shot by stock melees (65x4 is 260, demoman has 200 hp with booties and 235 with max eyelander heads and booties)

Honestly I would put the Clademore in b tier since also increases the time it takes to deal a crit or mini crit and the map is already really small

Also, they eyelander's potential is often wasted because of how easily you can die to a random crit or a good huntsman sniper, which are much more common than good eyelander knights

I think the tide turner is a better sheild, since in medieval mode there are so many people concetrated. Being able to rampage is more efficient than picking people off, since you could die at any moment. So the charge refill bonus is very good, and the charge control makes it easier to escape.

Demo has so many solid and consistent options in this mode, if only the other classes could match it.

Personally skullcutter is my favorite weapon by FAR No heads, no longer charge, nothing will save you from an axe which instantly kills fricking everything it touches That thing crits like an allcrits server

Eyelander is awful compared to Skull Cutter and even the half zat. All your heads useless when you get crit and you can't random crit back.

Demoknight is the 10th class in TF2.

I swear, this is the only time I see Demoknights using the Skullcutter. I never see them use it anywhere else (which I assume it’s because they prefer survivability over being a glass cannon).
