I personally think that only taunts are worth buying, not cosmetics. Then I remember that I own none of this stuff unless the game is connected to internet and I decide to not buy stuff at all. That and I will not give Valve any money until they fix TF2 completely, no hackers and no visual bugs. DON'T PAY FOR A BROKEN PRODUCT!

Bots will never be gone unless Valve stay vigilant and keep up the banning. The moment Valve let up we'll be back to square one. I hope they keep it up, and continue to develop their systems to combat the bot hosters.

It's a shame you missed so many references, man - many of these 'random' outfits are actually very clever/intentional references to Brazilian cultural icons from TF2's timeframe. For example, the striped spy set is based on the classic 'Malandro' outfit from Rio de Janeiro, the smoking snake pet is a reference to the brazilian forces in WW2 and the fruit punch hat is a reference to Carmen Miranda, a famous brazilian singer. All of these are referenced multiple times in old cartoons from Walt Disney and Hanna-Barbera so they're certainly not obscure, even if they're a bit oldschool. Also, the Cangaceiro hat (which is in Portuguese, not Spanish) does work perfectly for Sniper, since it's a hat from the brazilian Outback ('Sertão' in Portuguese) and I know brazilians usually link Sniper to that region (while Engie's Texan vibes are linked to the Pampas). Also, it has absolutely nothing to do with Aztecs or Mayans, it's an adorned type of leather hat loosely related to horseback traveling in Spain (similar to St. James' pilgrim hat). Finally, given Demoman's background, his poncho is likely a reference to the Andes, which are South America's highlands.

Can't wait for the new weapons to be overpowered (sandman's on release stat and übersaw, while not overpowered, it outclassing every other medic melee in 99% the situation) or underpowered (Gas passer + tons of weapons since Jungle Inferno). TF2 need balance changes because a new weapon would be only used 0,1% (or 99% if it's overpowered) of the playerbase after ~1 week after release and the one use it either because for joking around/bad weapon challenge, the community rebalance server fix the balance mess or it's overpowered/outclassing other weapons in same slots.

Still witholding until we see more action from Valve. Bot ban waves are nice, but we need assurances that this will be the norm, and Gaben willing, potential updates in the future that won't get thrown to the wayside like Aztec and Frontline. the tf2 steam workshop specifically is to submit stuff (as candidates) to be integrated in the game officially. they're not skins or "mods" although there are custom servers that uses these maps and weapons

I was so on board for this until you shut so many AMAZING cosmetics down as stupid or "not fitting to the mercs". this is about self expression, so just dismissing every backpack and buddy out of disinterest is unfair to genuinely good ideas like the lemonade or the little tank. and as we know, the irreductible tf2 coconut is perfect for soldier to parade as some kind of unbeatable armor.
