In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves is at the EOS our European Outdoor Show visiting Beretta to see the new Beretta Ultraleggero.
Per Beretta's materials on the Ultraleggero:
"The Ultraleggero begins a whole new chapter in the history of lightweight over-and-under shotguns, pushing the boundaries of design beyond all previous imagination; delivering the strength and reliability of a steel receiver but with an exceptionally low weight, something that had only previously been achieved with aluminium actions. Thanks to the use of state-of-the-art engineering techniques, Beretta has “skeletonised” the receiver, including only the structural elements that are essential for the resistance and performance of this shotgun."

That's awesome. Would make a great quail or pheasant gun. I saw the Perazzi booth in the background, hopefully James will be nice enough to bring us a video from there.

I have the previous model in 12 gauge which has an aluminium receiver with a 28" barrel and cannot shoot 3" cartridges. It looks exactly the same and weights the same also. I can attest to the fact that it kicks like a mule, especially with BB's, SG's or solid slugs. It's best kept as a rabbit/bird gun and just used occasionally with something like No.4 shot, where the recoil is ok. That said, if it's confined to its proper purpose it's a very nice gun.

as an upland bird hunter, this looks like a cool friggen shotgun. If i had to take a stab, my guess is that this will cost 500+ over a 686 given the extra manufacturing time and new trigger system. i'm assuming street price will be about $2500. Certainly if you're a B-gun fan, this would a great flex on your friends in your dog club.

It’s beautiful and I want one. But €2400 is steep for a poor like me (especially with the price of diesel nowadays!) Thing when I get my double barrel it’s going to be a CZ SXS (I shoot trap and occasionally bird hunt)

Maybe find the word for "sort of light" in italian. The CZ Upland Ultralight is only 6lbs, and this is about 6.4 pounds. I know the beretta is probably a nicer shotgun overall, but when I think ultralight, I think 6 pounds or less
