The weapons are so jank. All of it. It’s animation, sound, how the weapon sways when you move around, hand guns are to close to pov, recoil and no run animation. It’s so jank in all aspects.

@@Lexie-bq1kk I mean if you like the game Totally Accurate Battlegrounds it would be find to you. When you fall the gun slides all the ways to the left side of the screen like the first person hands have rag doll physics. A lot of games don’t have sway and if they do it’s very subtle and just a slight lean of the gun.

They replied to this at some point; it's a dew collector, not a water collector. I can't see the difference, but apparently there is. With the mods we will be able to add to the dew collector, it should be better.

@@space4ace582 im guessing water collecting catches rain. and dew collector catches the smaller water vapors in the air? idk, by that logic it should just all evaporate out if u were in the desert biome XD

I just want one final update for the console version before the abandon it and release the new game, I want nothing big, nothing that'll take away what makes the console loved by adding new stuff and removing old stuff, I just want them to fix all the bugs before they never touch the game again

@@caiden-_-if your talking about the legacy version that was published by telltale they can’t do anything to that version because it’s too far out dated. It’s not even the same game anymore compared to the game now. That’s why they had to remake the game for console.

So you’re gonna get the new version. It will just have to be purchased again. They said they are working on a discount for people that already own the first version.

So? Cimbing animations tend to mean: Can't do things while on the ladder. Or that you'd be locked to the ladder block until you jump off/reach the top/bottom.

Animating player interaction with ladders and doors is a lot more difficult than nonprofessionals might think. There are a few videos on KZfaq detailing why this is so. (I'm more than happy just to hit activate on those doors in any game myself now that I've seen what's involved. lol) Ladders? Oy! :)

No...they say it will down the roadmap, maybe christmas time...and that it works on their end, but they have not gotten permission from Sony and/or MS. That is a cop out. They only have to prove the platforms are sending compatible data packets between them AND that nothing on the game developers end will interrupt that ability. that's it. they can't do that so they don't have crossplay for launch.

Water sources can still be diverted to fill trenches and so forth. I adore the more natural method of collecting water in containers myself -- like camping. As bad as I hate to say it, though, "there's a mod for that" if you feel you just can't play without the jar method which, now that I've tried out the mod, I wouldn't be able to myself. It just feels right, though it takes some discipline not to exploit ithe mechanic, which was apparently a concern. I doubt most players do exploit this mechanic or that, but you know what they say: One bad apple and all that.

Probably not, DX12 is available in Unity 2022 and I don't think that they have upgrade the version of the engine they are using.

Personally i hope they dont. I like how quick the world loads, and to me making a tree have 20 more pixels adds nothing to the actual game play. Furthermore, in MP adding more textures just means slower servers.

I love that people still act like TFP were/are victims instead of willing participants. They SOLD the console version to Telltale for the runway to work on the PC version. The game sold the second most copies of any Telltale release. TFP had an obligation to protect us and they didn't. I don't care they F'd themselves...They did it to themselves. They bought the console rights back in a private auction a year and a half after Telltale collapsed. Since then they have continued to dumb down the PC version to make it work on "an inferior system" and not FINISHING THE F'ING GAME. they are re-releasing this unfinished, unready, because they know how much money they left on the table.

No. they say it will work around christmas. Somebody will pop in and say that TFP says it works on their end they are just waiting for Sony and/or MS to give permission...but it's hard. IT IS NOT. It's almost as if the last couple of years, they have had to hire a team, to make new skins and a couple progression reworks because they are terrible programmers and ran out of ideas a looooooong time ago. PC gamers are stupid...they wait for modders to "fix" games instead of expecting the devs to. Content creators feed off of this as much as the devs...that's why very few are actually on the gamers side. they are with their meal ticket.

Most game devs especially in the AAA studios don't play games period. While some do play the popular ones on their time off, most are hipsters or too into "geek culture" watching slop on Netflix or Amazon or elsewhere to bother seeing what's wrong with their games.

Unfortunately most game devs do NOT play their games and have no clue when it comes to actual game play. It is clearly evident and a major problem. This is why devs add things "they" think would be cool in the game while the community begs for useful changes for ages that are ignored.

This is even evident with indie games of developers not playing their games. They might have a QA team play them, but even their trackers get ignored or marked as "fixed" without being fixed a lot of the time. This game has no end game- i.e. there is no end goal, no final POI or set of POIs that upon completion tell you that you beat the game. It's definitely a fun game, but it's clearly missing that and ***hopefully*** the bandit system fixes that- like if they did what Ark did with its Tek Cave, I'd be happy.

That would only make the end game snow-balling problem even worse. There's tons of loot on the roof tops and adding more options to bee-line to loot rooms just seems silly.

I'm not talking about being able to glide from roof top to rooftop just floating straight down also parachutes are already in the game the airdrops use them. surely some bright spark would have gone "wow I wonder if I can use that to jump off a building safely"

I don't get the impression they have a dedicated sound designer. Okay, so they say they have all this experience (10 years, at least) and aren't indie developers, but I think they're pretty much indie developers and maybe even learning as they go. And you know what? I'm totally up for that. They can take all the time they like; work on whatever they like; and hopefully have a blast doing it. There's a game loop there, if not a "story mode" and everything else that's apparently coming down the pipe...whenever. And you know what? I'm up for that, too, the reason being they've not thus far involved themselves in predatory industry practices, e.g. microtransactions. They've made a game; they're selling the game; and people seem to like the game. It's not particularly my cup of tea (way too much automation) and I'm a little concerned about premature talk of "paid DLC," but we'll see what that actually means. I doubt they could afford to hire Ben Burtt to do the sound design, but I'm sure it'll only get better with time and experience regardless. Aside: The community could be a little more patient, imo. AAAs take six years with billion dollar budgets to turn out slop. TFP have taken 10 years to produce something they're obviously proud of whether it's everyone's cup of tea or not at a fraction of the budget. The "consumer" mentality of the community at large probably could do with a rethink, imo. I know we've all felt burned even by some of our favorite studios of late, but those issues are baked into the system at large. If the console rights fiasco is the worst disaster to befall TFP, I'll be overjoyed for them and the community both.

For me, adding graphics is just a crutch when gameplay is boring. Look at minecraft you can tell whats going on at all time and it functions fine. I play Mass Effect (which has great graphics) but those gfx mean nothing when im in a fire fight and focusing on a few enemies. Sure it looks great to find a vantage point and admire the environment from 800feet up. But that's about it.
