OK, Imagine this. A sequel series that starts off with a relatively light story with a bit of darkness, like season 2. At the end of the sequel series' first season, or perhaps at a mid season, you can have Mabel wear a sweater with a sunset on it again and go super dark for the fans that grew up with the show. You can even go the route of having it be episode by episode getting darker. Have something off in the first episode that keeps getting more obvious and bleak only for it to rear its ugly head and changes the flow of the show.

I’m sure you’re glad you kept pausing, now, aren’t you? 😉 Also, pretty much from this point on, everything is important! The background clues start in Season 2 (you can’t miss the keys, there’s literally keys by them) so look out for them! I would also recommend checking out the Gravity Falls shorts in between seasons. Dipper’s Guide to the Unexplained and Mabel’s Guide to Life are very important, but there are others as well.

6:15 I think that was a slam on Spider-Man (insectus hominem). "Magister mentium" means "master of the minds" which sounds weird when translated, but I guess the rhythm sounds better than "magister mentis" (master of the mind).
