Omg what beautiful effects! My initial thought was how are you not famous?! And then I decided I'm pleased you aren't as if you were out there making big budget films etc you wouldn't have time for all these golden oldie LOTR/TH videos which I adore. This was magical

Oh wow it has been a while since I've watched one of your videos (you probably don't remember my little essay comments lol) but somehow you've spent all that time working at it and you've improved even more!! Song choice perfect as usual, but all the additional effects and careful colouring! God, watching this actually made my heart race seeing how awesome it was! I love any parallels and links made between The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, as they are obviously so intricately linked and dependent on each other, both plot-wise and thematically, having both similarities and wild differences. If you still make a habit of replying to comments, how are you feeling about the Amazon show Rings of Power? I had low expectations at first but my optimism is rising, despite not entirely trusting Amazon with Middle Earth. I haven't been keeping up to date with its progress much, have you? Anyway, well done as always, and I'm thrilled to see you're still up and running with these amazing edits - that's a lot more dedication than I've ever had to anything before! Thanks for gracing the internet with your hard work!

MY OLD FRIEND! Oh, you cannot imagine the smile on my face when I saw you in my notifications again. I remember you with such fondness! You were one of the first to encourage me with my editing, and when I get worried or feel low in my skills I often go back to your comments. Its so wonderful to hear from you again after all this time. Thank you once again for coming back with such kind words on my work. I have mixed feelings on the upcoming show. I'm open to more interpretations of Tolkien's work (I mean, The Hobbit isn't much like the book - and even the Lord of the Rings has a few changes to the original source material). But, if it turns out to be along the same lines as Game of Thrones - I'm out. Middle Earth has far more to offer than anything Game of Thrones thinks it is, and I'm not prepared to watch a show that would sacrifice its deeper values and stories for the sake of pulling in views for money. So I'm interested in what they are going to do, and I truly hope it is good! But we shall just have to see what comes of it. Thank you for asking!

@@JaeHolics Ah, that's so sweet! It's heartwarming that you've felt encouraged by my words, and I'm so glad I stumbled across you again. I have heard a lot of concerned Tolkienites suspecting the show to be using the Game of Thrones energy - and though the first and second ages have much darker tones than The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, I agree that anything resembling the Game of Thrones and far removed from the common themes and optimism in Tolkien's work would ultimately ruin the show for me. I'm mostly just excited to see an attempt at translating the earlier ages of Middle Earth to screen, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it exceeds our expectations!!
