Ola Hermano, France here. I love being able to get some kind of connection through music. Another kind of jungle here (Paris suburb) but I'm discovering this beautiful work with earphones too. It's very hot here, and we're having storms since a couple of days. I hope you're in a good and safe area of your country and enjoying life as much as you can. Cheers,

I've studied on Dubois counterpoint manual, and I must say that reading his comments and examples I got quite the impression of a rigourous and scholastic man. Dubois was the proud son of the well established romantic musical palette, and to that expressive framework he held firmly. So it is not surprising that his music feels a little behind its times, but absolutely well constructed with really nicely interwoven themes

Our deep appreciation for KZfaq and for those who find and post all of these beautiful works! I especially appreciate the pre-WW1 composers and those who, even if they continued to compose after WW1, did not succumb to dissonance.

This picture is far from being the best one by Monet. It is dark and heavy when all what Money did was light and full of light. Il you enjoy dark and heavy painting, have a look at Redon.

These piece demonstrates that there are some many other notable composers from this time period that are just as good as known composers and gives the finger to people who believe that the romantic and classical periods were just composed by a few decent composers.

This is a very enjoyable symphony, the composition of an older composer which I believe reflects the Romantic era rather than the early 20th century in which it was written.

Impressionism music? Here and there, eventually - but clearly there is also some Saint-Saens, Bruckner, youngs Hindemith and Sibelius - briefly, apassionate "musique d´expression angoisée". A note for 2nd movement, reflecting the path of Debussy. Overall, quite a gift - a revelation. Merci.

@xavierbordes1373
@xavierbordes1373 4 жыл бұрын

Just like most of Dubois' organ music, which is his best-known oeuvre. It's an interesting coincidence that the conductor is the son of one of Europe's finest organists.
