Thailand is mourning a horrific gun and knife attack at a childcare centre in the north-east that left 37 people, including 23 children, dead.
Parents gathered outside the centre on Friday morning, weeping and clutching their children's toys.
A former policeman had stormed the building on Thursday, killing children as young as two as they slept.
Flags across Thailand are flying at half-mast as a devastated nation grapples with the tragedy.

Oh God! I lost my only son last year. He was hit by a train at 20. The grief of losing an adult child has brought me to my knees. But such young, helpless children?!? It’s just as bad and when I see these parents going through this, it’s horrible. I know this traumatic grief! Pray for them.

My condolences to u as well. I could only imagine losing a child. That's every parents worst nightmare. U don't ever want to think of a child going before u. I will keep u n my prayers that God will give u strength along with these parents that had to face this horrific tragedy. Life is a mystery & many things we cannot understand..but a parents love is not one of those things...that is great & unconditional. Prayer from TN & i hope u have a good support system...lord knows many of us do not...so if u ever do need to talk...reach out.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your son. I hope you as well as all these parents and family members today are able to cope with what has happened. I too have lost 4 babies. I lost mine at birth. These parents will never be the same again. I pray that what has happened never happens again. Why has this been allowed to happen. RIP to all those that died.

Humans are despicable. And hey, as a bonus, we got like -40 of them from this incident. Maybe people will learn to pay attention to signs that a person is sufferring and not cause that kind of pain so this can be avoided. But they wont. and itll keep happenning. And my sympathy left long ago.

There is no afterlife, we are supposed to look after our own and the animals, as well as the Earth, but it has been made into a sort of hell because of us. The more we allow problems to arrise here the more stupid things like this will continue to occur. Hoping it will all be okay after we are dead is a dangerous and flawed method of problem solving.

This was a absolutely terrible situation, complete madness, that this man that was a former Police officer of Thailand who committed this heinous, vicious, killing of innocent people including children. His behavior is reprehensible, heinous,and sickening. This man terrible crime against these People DO NOT reflect the normal behavior, or actions of a Genuine Police Officer. If this was a True Policeman he could Never do this. Genuine Protecters, Police, Protective Service, Public Safety, Rescue, etc, would NEVER, could NEVER Do this Heinous Act. This kind of Genuine Service begins in the Heart first, because it not the title, of who you are, it is in your Heart, and Soul to Help, Care, and Be of Service, to others, and Protecting others., despite personal hardships. A Genuine Protecter of Life, and anyone else who has committed their Lives to Helping In the Service of Others in Protection, Safety Protective Service, would Never Do such a Despicable crime against innocent people, and children, including killing his own Wife and child.
