@@domi9577 I have no issue with Paddy doing this.... His youtube channel was going so well and the pandemic has changed things so drastically - I can't imagine the psychological impact!... I love Chris's channel also - the pay it forwards especially....but owning this extreme luxury place whilst there are so many with so little on the island suggests maybe the respect is misplaced....

@@johnv5156 I disagree - whilst a 'free market' can open up doorways for trade which is lucrative for some, for the majority in a place like Thailand where the wealth gap is already one of the worst in the world, it just exacerbates the issue...

In the US, we call that game shuffle board. My dad used play in tournaments in the bars around Springfield, IL when I was a kid. On his weekends he took me with him. Great part of being a child in the 80s. No one really cared if you took your kid with you to the tavern. LOL

Don't know how I missed this video earlier. I'm also a fan of Chris's and think I've seen Moonstone on one of his videos. What a gorgeous place! My accommodation when I visit Koh Samui in about 6 weeks will be somewhat more modest but I'll definitely put Moonstone on my "when I win the lottery " list.

I checked the price of the 8 day stay at Moon Stone in September and it's a little over my budget😊: 680,000 baht was the price😉!

This game is called Shuffleboard! The sand you are talking about is wax which helps the stones slide more easily along the board. The more wax on the surface, the faster the stones will slide along the surface. I think it was developed following the game of curling which is done on ice.

@@pgsanta yes cheap if there are actually 6 couples out there willing to rent it Unfortunately there is no one there to rent it, no one coming over to rent it and even the tourists over there currently having a mass exodus. So much so that even Chris himself left and even I will be leaving soon enough due to lockdowns, curfews and most places being shut permanently! It really is a sad state of affairs here right now
