Those were the golden days.... School had just gotten over, it was probably a thursday or something..... Flash season 3 was on, i.e. arrow, supergirl, legends of tomorrow were also going on.... All shows came almost in a line. You were free, you still had that childlike glee, you grew up with your favorite and best casted DC heroes. That's what this song, in some parts represents for me.

This is my favorite version of this song. Unless you are a bad singer you can’t really mess this song up and in Carlos’ case he is a great singer. My favorite thing about this version is the synth instruments in the background 10/10.

Deathllyhallows don’t get me wrong, Carlos is one of the most talented people out there and I love him to death, but you should know that this is a cover of a song originally released in 1978 by Bobby Caldwell. While it’s very possible that Carlos could have written and sung other songs (he truly is breathtakingly talented), this is not one of them.

Although I agree that his voice is being enhanced electronically, his piano playing shows that he had music education and training (look at 1:35 to 1:39). The way he plays shows that he had classical piano training -- his fingers move up the piano keys (called apeggio) in the way that piano teachers tell us to hold our hands and fingers over the keys. Not only that guys and gals . . . he studied and graduated from the University of Michigan in performing arts. Univ of Mich is a very top school, right under the Ivy League schools. So Carlos knows what he is doing. MY ADVICE: If you want to go into show business or be a professional musician . . . get the training. NOTE: I am an old guy, retired from being a publicity agent in Hollywood for some of the top performance and celebrities in the movies and music. The people who really make it and stay there, and the ones I knew . . . they had professional training. Believe me.

@@dbmbrian2166 Yes he graduated at the University of Michigan like his college friend Darren Criss although Carlos was a year below Darren. Carlos and him studied the musical theatre department and participated in multiple musicals. With a musical theatre production of Starkid. Which Darren and him wrote a musical. Their biggest musical was A Very Potter Musical and I absolutely recommend you to watch it (but keep in mind it is a musical for fun as Darren always describes) Carlos played the bass in that musical. He was mostly in the band so he indeed does have a lot musical experience 😊

Quite a few people watch videos of Grant Gustin singing or dancing and talk about how attractive and talented he is but it seems to me that most people don't realize that Carlos Valdez is also extremely talented and attractive, they only seem to see him as the super funny sidekick but he is amazing all on his own and the fact that people only seem to know him as Cisco is dissapointing. He is so much more than just the characters he plays and he doesn't get recognized nearly enough for his talents and if he does people still just see him as Cisco doing those things not Carlos himself doing them.
