For short story collections I’d recommend T Kingfisher’s Toad Words and Other Stories. It’s a book of fairy tales, original as well as retellings. I think it’s one of her first releases under that name and sadly it’s only available via ebook (Everand). I read it last February and still think about it all the time.

I need to read more short stories because I realized that I don’t have any recommendations 😅 in the end you read way more than me! I went on vacation in February which was great, but with all the planning with taking our toddler as well I ended up reading nothing. Just got halfway into The Fractured Dark by Megan E O’Keefe (sequel to The Blighted Stars). Hoping to finish it in the next day or two!

How Long to Black History Month by NK Jemisin is a good short story collection. Pride not Prejudice with Jennifer Ashley as the main author is a good collection of LGBTQIA+ stories in a variety of genres. I read Bride by Ali Hazelwood last month and quite enjoyed it. Would recommend it to a fellow PNR lover.

Very cool! I don’t know if I’m an Ali Hazelwood fan but Bride does look pretty good

I read Ian Flemming’s 007 series several decades ago. Do you find you are afraid to read old novels because you may not like them or you might find them very cheesy. I loved Casino Royal and Diamonds are Forever a lot so am worried that now, if I re-read them I might be disappointed. Does that ever worry you?

Not necessarily. Honestly I hardly ever re-read anything so it’s usually not an issue. Haha! I only read the James Bond series 2 years ago for a planned video that didn’t happen. I’m re-reading them this year for the recaps. So I may find different things in the second read but I’m still in my phase of liking the books. I think if a lot of time went by between reads it would be a different story.
Re-reading Twilight until my brain melts.
