Let's hope the Premier listens to the voters and at the very least considers a consultation with 30,000 petitioners who are wanting to work through this in a proactive and realistic manner.

We had a referendum for the whole of Australia which got voted down. But these state premiers are doing the voice anyway. So while it's great what people are doing it's proven they will do what they want in every single instance.

Jack, That was very well spoken and articulated. This is a global battle that seems to only be fought on first world soil. Being honest, I never pictured myself visiting Australia until I somehow across your channel. I think most of the world ( I was) is unaware that there even is a feral camel issue down there. I'm a hogdogger (the ethical kind). I was forced to do something to keep the feral hogs from destroying my crops, livestock and the wildlife at the determent of me social standing at the time. Once the information about how awful these pigs are came to the front of the media my community became accepting and thankful for the most part. This was only after a woman was killed in her front yard by wild hogs and the ring doorbell footage was released. Wishing for the best down there.

Lets hope submissions are kept rational and clear. Activists getting stupid is the quickest way to give firearms owners a poor reputation. Politicians will react accordingly. Working with hunters extensively in an official capacity has left a poor impression, due to it seems the majority having some problem ideas and behaviour. The few Aussies guided seemed to demonstrate this, hard work to get to listen. These were tourist weekend, hunters, not pros etc. Hopefully that type will think before making poor submissions & present as responsible and logical. Getting the right individual politicians onside is key. Plenty are as deluded as the weekend warrior hunter types (they'll take up the claims) and not helpful. Good luck with it. NZ law is currently being revised, it will be interesting what transpires. Reforms after the Christchurch terrorism incident have caused further issues of reality, whether revisiting this improves or not is to be seen, currently being drafted.)
