Very cute! It's fun to watch you MM folks overdose on kawaii. :D Karen Girl's was over and done in 2009, and Sakura Gakuin didn't form until Spring of 2010. BabyMetal was formed around late Summer/early Fall of 2010. That should clear up the timeline a bit for you. Su was just participating in Sakura Gakuin and BabyMetal. During their time in Sakura Gakuin, Yui and Moa were participating in the main Sakura Gakuin group, and BabyMetal, along with two other sub-units, which were the baton club Twinklestars (from 2010 up to their graduation), and (as you've seen) the second generation of Minipati (from 2011 up to their graduation). Along with Yui and Moa, the other two seniors at that time are Hana (joined in 2011) and Yunano (joined in 2012). As far as I know, Yui has actually recovered (though, it's still not clear if that's fully recovered, or if a true full recovery is even possible), but she just wants to do her own thing. As much as any of us would love for her to come back, and would welcome that in a split second (health concerns allowing, of course), I totally respect her decision, and want her to do what makes her happy. After all, she did practically give us her teen years, and I appreciate that enormously. I do love to see those times remembered fondly, and discovered by newer fans as well, so keep up the great reactions! :)

From the very beginning Yui looked so comfortable on stage in front of a crowd. I miss her. I hope she is happy and well.

Being a fan of Sakura Gakuin, I'm used to people leaving. While it's sad, and I always cry watching the graduation ceremonies, it's something that I expect. I can understand how sad people got when Yuimetal officially left Babymetal though. All I hope for her is that she's healthy and happy. 2014 was a messy year for Sakura Gakuin. There was only 10 members that year, and Moa and Yui were busy at times with Babymetal, so there were a few performances like the Tokyo Idol Festival when previous members had to fill in for them. The graduating senior's were Hana, Moa, Yunano, and Yui. That year, Moa was the student council president. When all four graduated, there was a big hole left in Sakura Gakuin. 2015 had six new transfer students, it was Avengers Kano and Momoko's first year, and the first time I saw the wonderful, funny, and talented Mirena Kurosawa, who I regard as one of the most important members ever, as I believe that she was the glue that held the group together in this transitional phase. I implore you to watch Sakura Gakuin after Moa and Yui graduated as there are just as many catchy and cute songs, and a whole lot more super ladies for you to be introduced to. Picking up on Magz's comment at the start I will try to clear up the time line if I can :- Karen Girl's ran from 2008 to 2009. Sakura Gakuin formed April 2010, Su was a founder member Yui and Moa joined as 'transfer students' three or four months later (but were probably training with SG right from the start) The various sub units (except Mini Patti which already existed with its original 3 first generation members) were formed in those first few months - including BABYMETAL in October 2010 - and they were all part of SG. 2010 - 2013 Su, Yui and Moa were all in BABYMETAL - as a sub-unit it was part of SG Yui and Moa were also in the Twinklestars sub unit and became second generation members of Mini Patti (I'd guess in 2011 or 2012 when the first generation members graduated?) Su graduated from SG in 2013 ... BABYMETAL separated from SG with Su to become an 'independent band'. 2013 - 2015 Yui and Moa remained in SG but also worked in the now 'independent' BABYMETAL Yui and Moa graduated from SG in 2015 and became exclusively BABYMETAL members I hope that's right (at least mostly) and that it helps.

Hey! Amusing reminder for LVT, Yui and Moa are both 21 years old now, which means they're not that much younger than you, which, if you ever have the chance to meet either or both, would make it extra weird for you to insist on rubbing or poking their adorable cheeks lol Regarding the bit at the end (8:50), unless I'm mistaken, that was their very first performance as Babymetal, and thus likely the very first time their introduced themselves with their metal names. There's also the bit from 8:04 to 8:17, which I imagine some people might miss. The first section of that is Su and Moa performing the end of Headbanger without Yui, which happened at Budokan Red Night. The reason they had to finish the song without Yui is because she fell off the stage during the call-and-response part when Yui and Moa chant "Headoban Headoban!" The next bit we see right after that, is the beginning of Ijime Dame Zettai, which was the next (and last) song of that show, and you can see both Moa and Yui in their starting positions, showing that Yui was back to finish the show despite having fallen off the stage just a few minutes before. Another interesting tidbit from that particular show is that right at the beginning of Ijime Dame Zettai, when Yui and Moa are running full tilt all around the outer section of the stage, Moa fell down and hurt herself. It can clearly be seen on her face during that whole performance that she was not feeling good. There are a few moments when she's not entirely stable on her feet either.

Amazing that you reacted to this one - great choice ! The last thing I would have ever thought of was that I would be a Babymetal anbd Sakura Gakuin fan, but when I first saw BM on youtube in 2015, I was hooked. I have all their available concerts and they never get old. Yui leaving was a very sad thing - she is a very special person. I don't think she will return, but there's always hope.

Yui is still a BABY METAL!!

This was announced last year. Sakura Gakuin will be disbanded in August of this year.

The last clip is 'iine' live at Sakura Gakuin Graduations 2011. That's one of my favorite early Babymetal videos. It's their third oldest recorded performance. It was in spring 2012 it was the 2011 school year. There was a clip from their debut earlier in the video. Yui will be back, eventually. There is too much money to be made. Is it bad that I know what song almost every clip is even without sound and which concert?

Hi The First Avenger: Momoko, having been the Avenger in all of the six Budokan Doomsday concerts so far was mercilessly crucified during a completely rearranged BMD (with newly recorded growls) at Nippon Budokan Doomsday VI a few days ago, along with Su - I don't know if this is a heavy hint that she might become Yui's official replacement - there is still a lot of Shinto-laced mythology around Yui being a chosen one, and if you are crucified you become a goddess. Also a concert where Su sang Akatsune for the first time since 2018, and where Moa sang Onedari Daisakusen as a solo accompanied by four dancers dressed in the historic black and red BM costumes. I can't quite work out whether the dancers are 'Muscle Metal' or 'Begging Girls'. They are all incredibly young and have been identified from one source as 1.) Miyu Oshima - 11y old - a child actor (Japanese tv dramas) and member of the Amuse sub-group Ciào Smiles. The others are in Sakura Gakuin (which is due to wind up this Summer) They are: 2.) Miko Todaka - 14y - from Hiroshima and formerly in ASH (like Su & Riho), 3.) Sakia Kimura - 12y, and 4.) Neo Sato - 11y. Two of the dancers joined Su for the musical/dance interlude in Akatsune. Possibly Amuse are giving tomorrow's stars a bit of big show practice. Who knows what will come in Doomsday VII-X, and then on to Knotfest, and a resumed World Tour later in the year.

Good luck with that, Yui hasn't been seen or heard from publicly since her letter in 2018 announcing her departure from BABYMETAL. All we know is that Su and Moa said she is doing well.

My recommendation for Sakura Gakuin is the premier live of the "Mashumaro Iro-no Kimi-to (Together with you colored like Marshmallow)（kzfaq.info/get/bejne/guCEiMWQtLTSh6M.html）.　The song is about the student talking to the Teddy Bear-like doll with whom he/she spent school days. This is the Official MV but the recording is not good. But Sakura Gakuin fans think the officials keep this because this is the only recording left for the Class of 2012. This video shows how Su Metal stands out as singer and dancer, and the how the whole Sakura Gakuin members are good.

If you go over to the Babymetal subreddit you will see that to this day there is still an active "Yuisday" thread every Tuesday. www.reddit.com/r/BABYMETAL/comments/lq0n58/princess_yui_tuesday_the_343rd_for_all_things_yui/ The longer Yui's hiatus goes on the lower the probability that she will restart her entertainment career, at least with Amuse, so in this case no news is probably bad news for a future with Amuse. But she was recently complimented in an Amuse produced podcast/radio show so maybe the ice is thawing a bit. I think 2021 will be an interesting year to see if she does anything for the Sakura Gakuin 10 year/goodbye events. Also assuming she signed a 7 year contract with Amuse in 2014 it should be coming to an end soon and maybe both parties are just waiting for some termination clause to play out, so look out for press releases and changes to Yui's Amuse webpage. Whether or not Yui wants to stay in entertainment is probably only known by a small group of people so until there is some public change in her Amuse status everything is just speculation...my guess is that she burned a lot of bridges at Amuse when she stepped back from Babymetal and that she has to wait to the end of her contract before doing anything else. If she still has ambition she might try to launch a solo career with another agency, maybe she can get some advice from Ayami Muto about that, but she also might have lost the desire to perform and be concentrating on school and a more normal career.

Don't want burst your bubble, but I do not think Yui will be back. I believe what ever her health issue is, it prevents her from performing on stage. One thing to always keep in mind, any time anyone watches a Babymetal (official) residual payments are made to Mizuno Yui. Also Japan has one the finest Health systems in the world, so is well taken care of. The last clip is from Doki Doki Morning, Rehearsal as several other clips. You should watch it, but LVT will need help. If not rewind back to when the girls are in "Civilian" clothes and dancing and watch Yui vs Su & Moa.

I don't know if anyone already said it, but the other two in the performance of the song are Hana Taguchi and Yunano Notsu (now Yunano Honjyou, hope I spelled that right). I think Hana took a break after SG to concentrate on school, but she was recently cast in a theater play that's running at the moment, and she also auditioned for different Idol groups over the last year or two, if you can believe the rumors. Yunano quit the entertainment business shortly after graduating from SG to concentrate on high school and university. She's probably going to stay out of the limelight after she finishes her degree, but that's just my assumption. To the "we want Yui back" stuff. I wrote it a bunch of times in comments from other KZfaqrs, and I know it's just more wishful thinking than anything, but I'd give it about 1% chance she returns to BM. It would be a very un-Japanese thing to do. If you quit something (a school, a company, whatever) in Japan, you quit. I think that's one of the reasons why it took one year to change her status from "hiatus" to "left BABYMETAL". They probably wanted to keep the window open for her. If she could/wanted to return she would've probably done it in that timespan. Also, she still has an individual profile on the AMUSE homepage that's not affiliated with BM because she still has a contract with AMUSE and they're probably hoping she'll come back to the entertainment business (or know she'll come back), but she's no longer listed with BABYMETAL, whose members do not have individual profiles.

My personal thoughts on Mizuno Yui. I believe that YuiMetal can return to BABYMETAL anytime she wants. I believe that being a world wide rockstar was not to Yui's liking. I think all the traveling and shows just wore her down. I believe that metal music was not really her type of music. I believe that Yui was jealous of Suzuka being the the focus of BABYMETAL (I could be way off on this one). I believe that Yui's heart and mind were with SG not BM. I believe that the decision Yui made to leave BM was the hardest thing she has ever done. I would love to see her in an interview even if it's just a simple one, not asking any questions that would upset her and to be able not lose her privacy. I just want to see for myself that she is okay.

Guys, gals, remain serious, please. Babymetal was a project with calculable date of expiry. The girls have grown up inevitably from childhood over juvenile age to (now realy nice) adults. A lot of their former repertoire is outdated. Gimme Chocolate sung by an 23year old woman should better mean: give me a Tesla Model 4 or a nice country residence with Heliport. Yui jumped off just in time - if she would return, what (the heck) should she perform successfully? What should her Kawaii Element do within the currently too hard, -loud, -dark, -colorless, -depressing stage ambience of BM today?
