Today on Variant, we return to Marvel's Thor title with issues 16 and 17, where we see what happens after Thor has abandoned his hammer. Has the Mad Titan himself finally gained possession of Mjolnir?

They're really milking the Infinity Gems/Stones. Look. They're awesome, but at this point everyone has wielded them, and Thanos keeps getting more ridiculously overpowered. Dude defeated the ONE ABOVE ALL. WHAT???

Was gonna say it’d be interesting seeing a kang like Thanos, going around collecting different infinity weapons, first the gauntlet, then the hammer, maybe a versions of Thanos’s armour containing the stones like ultron had. The only thing is the stones are only suppose to work in there own universe and I’m sure that stamped down in the comics but I guess they could make an exception. It’d be awesome in my opinion

I love anything zombie related, especially in super hero's, so although I never expected to see them in a situation like this, seeing Thanos with an army behind him was suprising but also awesome, cant wait to see more

The infinity stones when first introduced was a very novel idea and incredibly powerful. Thanos was the first to wield all the stones in the form of the gauntlet. Now the stones are an often used macguffin that has lost much of its luster since their first appearance. They need to create something new that is powerful/threatening for a very different reason.
