Champion being physically stronger than Thanos confirm as Thanos resorted to using energy Project. Champion is a candidate for being physically strongest comic book character. I've argued this for many years. He's the one character I could put Above Hulk although it's debatable. A character whose physicality comes from the Big Bang itself. Only Hulk rivals the champion physically. Put it this way the Champion is like the Hercules version of space gods. He's above. And he's above the likes of Hyperion, Juggernaut, Abomination, Thing, Thor. In physical strength. And the likes of DC Superman, Martian Manhunter, Shazam.

Jamie Banner The Champion isn't much without the power gem and it's been a very long time since he's had it. I'd put him on the level of a Savage Hulk with no gem. As far as Physically stronger, everyone always forgets about the Silver Surfer. Without using energy protection, the Surfer would wipe the floor with the Champion without the power gem and he would totally wreck any version of the Hulk toe to toe without energy projection. Do you remember when the Surfer came back to reclaim he board from the Maestro and it wasn't a damn thing the Maestro could do about it? Well, that how a physical fight would go down between the Hulk and Surfer. I also put the Juggernaut as strong as the Hulk and Champion, The Blue Marvel and Hyperion as well. There are some heavy hitters that are as strong as the Hulk and Champion without his Power Gem physically

ryuken338 I don't know. He said to be as powerful as a Hungry weakened Galactus... Champion is like Hulk he's all physical. There's only two characters I'm not overly confident and I doubt in competition with Hulk and that is the Champion and the Ghost Rider, one in strength and other in power. Ghost Rider isn't as physically strong as Hulk but when it comes to power I'm not that confident or certain. Ghost Rider has a shout on being Marvel's top dog... Silver Surfer is physically strong but I always seem to think it is in his durability more than lifting. Silver Surfer is right up there and being the most resistant durable character. When it comes to power. He's definitely up there but again between Silver Surfer and Ghost Rider it's hard to choose... some people think Thor has more power than both but I'm not overly confident about that... But Champion is as powerful as any elder God and his power is all in his physical so I always think it should be right up there.

He's not stronger than Thanos without the gem, and this story shows that brute strength alone is nothing without wit. Thanos enslaved Ghost Rider.
