Freestylers in 300MMR reacting with a complete lack of understanding regarding the MMR raise is just ridiculous. It's still smurfing even if it's your main account. If your opponent scores because you are freestyling and that's why you lose it's fairplay, but the 300MMR, even the 600MMR players don't even get a touch on the ball. I never watch any casual freestyler cause it's just embarassing. There are enough comp freestylers that we can support.

I still don’t understand why freestylers are mad epic raises their mmr. They make the game impossible to play for low ranks. Thus, it’s no fun AND people stop playing.

I don’t understand jt either. If the guy you’re clipping on can barely jump and boost, what is the purpose of him being there? You can just do it in a private match then. The new player being unable to touch the ball for the whole match just so you can record some clips is just sad

Great video as always ! I saw your tweet, and I completely respect your decision. Move on to whatever makes you happy and want to get out of bed every morning. I just want you to know that me and my wife learnt almost every we know about the game through your videos. We're approaching 30, have a 2 years old and day jobs that leave us just about an hour every night to play. We've been playing the game for 3 years and got from nothing to the elo hell that is C2, peaking often times at C3 and we couldn't be more proud of ourselves. Two bots played for less than one week straight against each other in casual, one bot only getting saves, eventually the server rebooted but not before he got to the #2 person in the world in saves, he got 109,000 saves in one week in 3000 games..... sheeesh, I reported it to RL and they told me to go pound sand. I have the pictures from rocket league tracker.

About the Alpha Boost incident, I still don't understand why Psyonix doesn't just rerelease the boost in the item shop or something to allow more players access to it. Everyone wants it, it'll make daddy Epic more money, people have been wanting this for years and would clearly pay heaps to just own the item.

That removes the whole point of it being an Alpha reward. They just need to replicate the sound on a different boost.

I do agree with the idea that it would benefit the company and the players, however, it would kinda defeat the whole purpose of it being a rare boost. In addition I don't think people who currently own Alpha boost (pros) wouldn't like it because then their item's value is going to be significantly lower than it was before.

I've never heard of the alpha boost trade scam charade before. It makes me wonder why people were so worked up over trading going away when it was being exploited like this. Granted it was account locked, taking advantage of a system meant for legitimately scammed people is beyond scummy and I'm kinda glad they removed trading.

In game banning is completely broken. Bc the forfeit system is completely broken. I just finished my 7th ban, six months this time, just for being afk…. I dont text chat or voice chat or quick chat. I just go afk when my teammate goes afk and wont forfeit. And i get banned. Over n over n over. Adding the “Queue ban” in casual was when they messed up.

Nope. You might be thinking of the soft reset that happens every season. 1660 is the absolute max that you get reset to, and that only happens if you're 1725-ish or higher the previous season.

Praising players and their abilities when they face off against other talented players does not mean they should also praise them when they shit on low ranked casuals and ruin their fun.

"What you can achieve in the game mechanically" Yeah most of the time with unlimited boost or bronze defenders which at that point you may as well just do freeplay. Pro players are the peak of mechanics lets be real, they have both the fundamental mechs and the flashy mechs except on actual defenders.

I've just come back to RL and my god the kids toxic, ive had kids tell me to end my life on this game lol. If it bothers you or you can't not be toxic just turn chat off. Don't think banning is the way though as kids dont really know what they are saying and in the heat of the moment they will say things and not think before it was said.

Speaking of bans, my bubble player friend just got perma banned for cheating when he did nothing whatsoever, and Rocket League doesn't seem to care. Guess RL is just ban heavy, but now he has lost everything even though he is innocent.

They didnt punish freestylers for freestyling.. they punished freestylers for manipulating casual matches. Theres nothing wrong with freestyling itself.

Probably an unpopular take but I really do think most of these bans have been a case of overreach. There is a reason RL has almost as many bans as other games who’ve been around for twice as long. Banning players for a year for playing one month before they turn 15 is not only unproductive but I’d argue harmful for the pro scene (especially considering they went ahead and dropped the age to 13). Teams wouldn’t want to team with a young kid unless they were a prodigy. It’s seems to me that it is never a clear advantageous case of cheating like wall hacks or aimbot which should be banned.

but its not fair for other teams to play against someone who isnt signed and isnt who they thought they were playing against. imagine you and your team have done a lot of prep for a game, watching VODS, analysing gameplay, everything, and then you go against someone who youve never seen play and shouldnt be allowed to play. its just simply not fair for the other team. a year ban might be too long but they deserve some sort of punishment.

@@amyglynn6827 I agree with you 100%. It what I meant by overreach. We want to discourage such behavior since as you pointed out it is not fair for the opposing team. I think a much more fitting punishment would have been a multiple game suspension for the whole team and not just the individual player since this would discourage a team from even considering it. If IRL sports with millions on the line don’t ban players for a full year for similar offenses, I doubt psyonix should either.

btw keep an eye out for mod jeb types aka devs corruptly stealing and RWT using dev powers to recover hack acc's and generate loot practically every game has one dev doing this the free stylers are actually showcasing how epic the skill cap can be to new players its not like OW2 where its a clusterfuck of smurfs its way less bad in rocket league even with free stylers rather than push players away they see how cool the game can be, as long as its ranked its not really a problem

as a grand champion 2, this is a terrible idea, in ranked or casual, not everyone has the "CoD trickshotting" value in playing games, a lot of people play it for other reasons, only if epic made a 3rd playlist specifically for freestylers queuing rather than having them play against bronze players, it would make sense as they would face each other

I don't think that banning people for things they said outside of the game is right, they can rightly rule on what people can say on their platform, but they have no right to rule about what someone can say outside of it
