38,000 Ls is quick with an SCO, I had one interdiction during the final phase of flight to Hadad, one of the easiest Titan trips.

Thanks for the heads-up! I'll be away this weekend (including Friday) so I'd better get my 2 million in now.

For those with fomo, i actually perfer the krait over the mk2. Krait is just so much more user freindly imo.
@MadDogMikeyM2 ай бұрын
The Krait can repair itself, thus enabling it to stay on station far longer than the P2
@LetGoMyEggOh2 ай бұрын
Solid take. Python mk2 definitely outperforms the krait mk2 but it takes a lot more engineering and effort. So on nights you want to relax or for newer AX pilots Krait mk2 is just such a wonderful ship. Krait has no downsides
@LetGoMyEggOh2 ай бұрын
@@MadDogMikeyM the repairing is definitely nice. But I've been able to stay in with a python mk2 until I ran out of torpedos and misses before having to leave. I think it's more a playstyle shift than anything else
@Astyrrean2 ай бұрын
@MadDogMikeyM This isn't necessarily true ... the "regerating HP" of the Krait come in the form of repair limpets. The "regenerating HP" of the PythonMk2 come in the form of shields. So long as you take care to not lose your shields entirely, the PythonMk2 has in fact longer staying power than the Krait (as the latter will run out of limpets eventually.) You do have to be a bit more careful though. And the PMk2 has enough hull to deal with phasing damage for many, many hours ... that shouldn't be an issue.

Do SCO drives now work normally in other ships ? (that are not Python Mk 2's) Haven't used SCO drives so far but after having scanned a Planet like 250K Ls away (which took like 15 Minutes to get there WITHOUT the possibility of getting interdicted)) these drives actually now sound like a sane idea 😂 Also, to keep my ship cool enough would you recommend 1 or 2 Beam Lasers with Thermal Venting Experimental Effect? I think I failed at bombing Oya last time mainly because my ship was glowing hot all the time drawing unwanted attention but I'm currently working on fixing that so I can hit more than 1 Thermal Vent 🤣

Other ships are still warmer and less stable, but they are definitely useable My worst experience has been with small ships, the dbs in particular is a bit wild to control
@Astyrrean2 ай бұрын
As for SCOs - yes, just use them in short bursts. As for heat - see the recommended builds on this channel!

Will meltdown occur this weekend, then? If yes, then we can start doing damage right now and it will count for final rewards since it's within a week of meltdown, yes?

If melt down occurs this weekend, then yes

It's a good practice to go ahead and get some damage in if you know you will not be on over the weekend.
@Astyrrean2 ай бұрын
It’s always tricky to estimate when a Titan will fall as it depends on how many CMDRs “get in” on the action. I think damage resistance will drop enough that we’ll get to a meltdown later on the weekend… sometime Sunday. Might be a bit earlier might be a bit later though. If things massively snowball it could be as early as Saturday morning. And if things slow to a crawl it might survive into Monday.

I would get in 2 mil of attacks now or on Thursday. It will likely meltdown 2 days after resistance drops.

Regarding the Spire sites, is a cold running ship required like for the Titan attacks?

Nope. Spire sites don’t care about cold running ships. Run as hot as you like.

@@Astyrrean I was there when we took back that sector. Does that affect anything immediately or will we be waiting for the weekly rollover for it to affect that spire site?
