In this one we start the 1968 Mercruiser 120hp and then we pull it. I also weigh the engine to see what the difference is between the 6 and the 4 cylinder engine:

White ammonia on a cotton swab completely takes away the sting from a wasp. It even works a few hours after the sting. We carry some with us when we ride motorcycle.

That little switch is the interrupter for shifting. It cuts the ground from the ignition for a second to allow the gears to mesh without power applied.

exactly! on the newer 120 and 140's its above the vale cover on the linkage.

I’ve been in the market for an old starcraft for a few years now. Been watching your videos over the last year learning what I can. Extremely informative and helpful so far. Just picked up a 68 chieftain 21 with the 120 mercruiser. Glad you have quite a few videos on that motor. Mine is actually the same color with the same exact vinyl flooring your islander has. With your help from these videos, I should putting salmon in the boat in no time 🍻

With #5 video in the tank, as always interesting and detailed. The engine hoist on the trailer worked well and will keep it in the memory bank. If you don’t have a Mercruiser maintenance manual it will be a great help when trying to hook up and adjust the throttle and shift cables. There are a few very precise measurements that have to be set for them to work. Looking forward to the next video. -Rich

Nice Job I have a 1976 Starcraft chieftain with 85 hp Evenrude handles great in the water. Your videos inspired me to buy the boat and bring it back to life. I also have a 69 Tollycraft runabout with a v6 gm oddfire . Keep up the good work.

Cool build, appreciate the tour of the cabin. Have wondered about upgrading to one of these. Appreciate your can do attitude and ingenuity. I think I'll stick with the Lone Star El Dorado, more room in the cabin, although it's only a 18'. Much prefer the OB too, I/O takes up so much interior space.

I just recently received a 1975 sport 21 starcraft with the straight 165 horse when put away 20 years ago it was properly winterized but has been sitting outside being weathered any pointers on how to begin to try getting that motor started

23.08 or around that looks like #6 plug wire is arcing fire, probably need to replace it .Might go boom ,if installed in a enclosed space with gas fumes.
