I remember Ardal O'Hanlon during a standup show saying "I'd love to interview Neil Armstrong and never once mention the moon".
@Picnicl5 жыл бұрын
Neil would also like no questions about his early musical days when he exclusively performed covers, including Fly me to to the moon, REM's Man on the Moon, The Police's Walking on the Moon, David Bowie's Space Oddity, Elton John's Rocket Man, Kate Bush's Rocket's Tail,Hello Earth,and Stranded on the moonbase, Simply Red's Stars, Jonathan King's Everyone's gone to the moon, Moon River, Savage Garden's To the moon and back, The Waterboys' The Whole of the Moon, Mike Oldfield's Moonlight Shadow, The Steve Miller Band's Space Cowboy, Babylon Zoo's Spaceman, The Byrds' Mr Spaceman, a tribute to Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon, and (a lyrical reworking of a Status Quo hit) Rocket All Over The World. Neil is exclusively here to talk about his new self-penned country and western album 'Keeping my feet on the ground'. It shouldn't be that hard to conduct an interview with those parameters. It's not exactly rocket science, is it?

Thanks. 15 minutes maybe? I know a few 70s stars in particular are/were fond of space oriented themes on occasion. I got carried away and had to say all I could think of (by major stars). I also thought up an extra line for The Two Ronnies sketch about a disgruntled butler: "Your cordial, m'lady. Your bitter, m'lord".
@WildMatsu2 жыл бұрын
If you enjoyed this sketch, it might amuse you to learn that the Wikipedia page for John Hinckley Jr. currently begins: "John Warnock Hinckley Jr. (born May 29, 1955) is an American singer-songwriter who is best known for his attempted assassination of U.S. President Ronald Reagan in Washington, D.C. on March 30, 1981." Can't make this shit up.

@davidanthonypickerin Yes!! You're very right, well done. I wasnt sure so i of course had to watch the entire ep again (the XL version), then accientally the rest of that series. David does talk about the whole interview concept but its robert stevenson he refers to. I'm sure there was a neil armstrong one too, wasn't there??? Somewhere??? Sometime??? Maybe not but i'll keep searching :D

It was the steam engine, the same man also invented a glass tube for growing straight cucumbers, and David suggested he'd be very tedious and only talk about the tube instead of trains.
