This has been happening with me last season too. I had to stop playing ranked for a bit because of how bad it was and then teammates would get mad at you. I hope they fix it soon 😅

Well I know that the ports on my computer are a little wonky at least when charging things, and what tends to happen when my computer detects it unplugging my game freezes just like in this video. So I'd check to see if any of your usb ports/devices are causing it.

REALLY GOOD UPDATE, even a NEW COLOR, bit the amount of glitches just ruins it. Hopefully they fix them quickly so this update can be as good as some of the best updates ever.

I have almost the exact same issue, instead of completly freezing, it lowers the fps, which is really annoying, it happens throughout the game but specially in overtime it freezes a ton, hopefully psyonix will fix it... keep up the good content Sunless!

That freezing glitch has been around for a few seasons now, just with this update its effected a ton more people.

Its effected mine so badly it freezes and won't unfreeze, hard crashing the game, forcing me to close it. Then i get bans for being unsporting. Thanks Epic 👍

We got the best rocket pass in ages. We got probably one of my favorite looking maps yet. New gold painted items. An update to training packs. A orange loading icon for when joining games. Games load alot faster for me now aswell and I'm only on ps4.

Unpopular opinion I have found out; I don't like the map. It is too bright for me. Same with the sandy beaches day or whatever that map is. Everything else is awesome though.

The sitting car thing as for me too, it’s hilarious I had this problem that whenever I played I had to do the tutorial, bot match, and get rid of the stupid yellow star things on each button it was super annoying, but the trusty reddit had me covered

Sunless you should make a video on the difference in ranks extra modes. I think it would bee interesting to see the difference from the bottom of the ranking system to the very top in modes like rumble and snowday. Just a thought.

I had a similar problem that the steam version was causing my game to have 20-30 ping higher and serious lag issues. did a verification check on the files and then uninstalled/reinstalled the game and its better. I'm assuming sunless did this but in case anyone is having a similar issue to mine, there seems to be a lot of instances of corrupt files with this updatee=

I deleted my corrupted files, and I didn’t experience lag issues for about 5 games and then it was back. I haven’t tried re downloading the game yet which I should try

I'm so glad Sunless brought attention to the freezing issue. It started happening to me towards the end of last season and it was ruining my RL experience. I thought it was an issue with my PC or network connection.

Same. Then I built a whole new computer, 12900K, 3080, new everything. Fresh install, windows 11. Yet it still happens. I knew it wasn’t network because I’d traveled between college and home and had it follow me just the same.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling, it worked for me and by the looks of it a few other people in the comments. Some other guy made a comment about how it may have to do with corrupted files with the new update

this lag spike your getting has been happening to me for the past ~ 7 months i recently tried changing all the settings in gameplay to low and it has changed it. it has made my game start to freeze for like 2 seconds instead of like 5 but it still happens a lot. i have noticed that it’s definitely an in-game problem as i have another account that doesn’t lag at all and even on my main account the only game that encounters that lag is rocket league. i’ve been trying to find a fix for a long time but nothing seems to fully work

I get major stuttering in some matches, don't know why but it doesn't go away until i restart the game. It only happens intermittently curiously, it started happening the same day that season 7 rolled out.

@@Michael-gv9qd are you on pc? How is your connection. I would recommend using a wired connection unless you have a great router. Are you just playing on your home servers? I think most people do but doesn’t hurt to ask. Do you have decent internet? Just asking all possible questions lol

This season I did an experiment. I purposely lost all 10 placement games and still ended up exactly at the rank I was before. Pretty confident the placement games mean nothing.

This repeatedly happens on my Xbox console aswell, I've tried all fixes that were told would fix it...yet to no avail...it freezes anywhere from four seconds up to 10 seconds unfreezes and then immediately freezes again..this is very frustrating so if anyone has any more suggestions to fix it, would be appreciated.

Also on Switch, the loading screen outright hangs the entire game sometimes. As in, you go to the home menu, try to close the game, and it just ends up getting force closed

I get the "banana" here as well, often after kickoff. Also playing on Steam since it's easier to run it on Linux that way. Oddly when played through Proton, the freeze only seems to happen for a quarter of the time Sunless seems to get it. (I also don't get this AT ALL on my Nintendo Switch, which was a surprise)

I've also experienced this as well, but on the Xbox version. At first I thought the game froze cause that's what it does most of the time, but after the gameplay resumed I was confused but carried on. And after seeing this video I hope it doesn't happen as many times as I saw.

Those freezes happen on epic too that was the first thing I noticed. It’s always when you first start the game up for me. It lasts about 30 mins
