A Pride flag is for those that are "oppressed" by what is NOT on the flag, i.e if you are gay, you are oppressed by the straight, if you are black you are oppressed by the white, etc. It pits one against another, as if to say a straight white man oppresses gays, blacks and women. That is ignorant to what is actually the cause of oppression, the cause is discrimination of any kind. Equality is fairness for ALL people, the pride flag is for some, not all. You can't solve discrimination with further discrimination, only by understanding that everyone, regardless of race, gender, sexual preference etc is capable of being ignorant to what makes us equal, that we are all human, and that isn't what's represented with the pride flag, the flag is not for all humans and that's why it's divisive. Simple really.

Everyone has the right to be proud of their way of life, as long as it doesn't seek to destroy others. English people do not seek to destroy others, it's not inherent to what makes someone English. A Pride flag suggests "We're the victims, the good guys, those that are not us are problematic", it is a critique, hence why any time there's a new movement, i.e trans, blm etc, they're added to the flag but their "opposite" never will be, the opposite is inherently seen as evil which is itself ignorant, and ignorance breeds hate.

And at the crux of it, it's a flag about sex and sexual relationships. Long gone are the days of discretion and private life alas. Now everyone wants to shove their sexual preferences in everyones faces, especially those of the children. It's disgusting.

I'm in Canada and went to our government funded national postal service yesterday. First thing I see is an employee wearing a massive pride flag with all these extra colors on her employee T-shirt. Our government run institutions allow pride symbols on their bloody uniforms. The other two employees were temporary foreign workers despite thousands of Canadians being unable to find jobs now. Canada is not far behind Britain
