I know that I sure found it quite a marvelous area when I visited there a number of years ago. No mud then...very dry and pretty hot. Still, quite an adventure! Bruce and Otis

Wonderful day! I visited there on my big rv road trip 2 years ago, the day after a storm and yes the mud was sticky. It was so neat to see all the bison up on the grassland and I also saw a bighorn sheep. Such an interesting drive and the unique contrasts. The colors and formations made me think of the Painted Desert here in Arizona. What fun to share that with the grandkids. I would have liked to have a couple with me but school had already started by then.

I've been to the badlands many times, but not when it was wet and muddy. It was always pretty hot and dry loke your first visit.
