This is Kurt Travis on clean vocals, that’s why it sounds so different. Id suggest just looking up all their lineup changes throughout the years. It’ll save you some confusion lol. The guitarist and drummer are the only ones who’ve been on every album.

I love the Death Star album like a child. Death Star was the album that got me into DGD. Kurt with Jon was terribly underrated.

Not many people appreciate since the beginning the guitar work, it's nice to see that you do. And as other guy said in the last video... Every album gets better and better, just wait and see. P. S. Changes between this album and DBM is that now you have Kurt Travis on clean vocals and Zac Garren on 2nd guitar. Hence why this album sounds different from the first 2 releases. More line-up changes come with the next album Happiness. Jon Mess (screamer) is absent for the next album. He left due to health issues so Will Swan (guitarist) takes over for screaming duties on the next one.

8:25 It's funny you mention Kellin because he actually auditioned for DGD before making Sleeping with Sirens. There's a demo you can find online if him singing over "uneasy hearts weigh the most" and I think it sounds pretty good, but overall Kurt was a better fit imo.

Another EXCELLENT reaction video. I hope you returned to Spotify, personally, but we'll see! I hope, in time, you just shuffle a discography of their instrumental albums.

This and the nxt album is Kurt l, followed by the original vocalist Jonny then acceptance speech and onwards is tilian. I think the album mothership and onwards have music videos worth watching

I understand your focus is on the instrumentals primarily (it seems thats your background), but I find it rather astounding that you didn't make any significant comments regarding the change in clean vocals (Jonny and Kurt have very different sounds), along with the change in Jon Mess' screaming (not as raw, somewhat cleaner). I understand this was just a first listen, but ya, kinda shocked me lol otherwise, good video

This album has a new clean vocalist Kurt and a couple of my fave DGD songs (Alex English and Uneasy Hearts, Caviar with Chino is good too). But i also think it is a weaker album compared to some of their others. On the next album Happiness, the unclean vocals are filled by the guitarist Will.

you'll wanna stick with KZfaq once you get to Acceptance Speech with Tilian Pearson on vocals but i wanna say the first music video with him as singer (its animated. the band isnt in the video) is from Instant Gratification
