It is completely possible that Tomac weighed the risk/reward of the gnarly track and gambled with anticipating Jett having a crash, which he has been having a lot of this year. It may be that it just didn't turn out in his favour, and that is what happens when you take a gamble like that. I still think Tomac is going to lay down the hammer and straight up beat Jett this year. This championship is far from over. Tomac was leading last year by lots of points and had an injury. Jett has been having a lot of mistakes this year. Jett has everything to lose at this point. Anything can happen.
@seanhaberman46195 ай бұрын
Eli was clearly pushing as hard as he could and was visibly frustrated that he couldn't hang with Jett. Jett is straight up faster than any version of Eli.

Loved the track, hated the conditions, not a full mudder, just an unpredictable surface. Never disliked a rider as much as Jett, wish he was a more humble person. Oh well racing is racing, been following since 1995 and riders come and go and someone will replace him one day as well.
@Sh1tstir5 ай бұрын
Your right someone will replace him thats just a fact of life. The same as someone will replace Tomac be it this year next year or the year after it will happen eventually just have to accept it. Who knows when injuries can strike aswell so just celebrate what your witnessing in the moment because who ever wins next week deserves that much except maybe Vince Fresie 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@doglover136_ if you think Deegan is going to be remotely close to Jett I think your going to be disappointed, not saying Deegans not talented but at the moment he's not even in the same class ....... Prado might be the only one capable of running with Jett if he decides to go supercross from here on in and even then it maybe a 2 year wait for him to learn and challenge...... At the moment unless there is some radical bike changes and the next generation CRF is a flop no has his speed but we can live in hope I guess

To be fair Tomac and Webb are actually having a really good seasons so far they have been pretty consistent its just this dam kid is doing it better, any other year Webb would be dominating 1 result out of top 10 the 1 result out of top 5 the rest has been podiums or top 5 thats pretty handy in anyones books

What a difficult race to watch, so hard to choose ya favourite to win these season as in personality, they are all great warriors , but when jett got up to a 12 second lead at one point in the main that was just mind blowing in those conditions, but Daytona certainly has shown the top dogs this weekend. Nice one js7

He got hurt in his rookie SX season. He doesn't ride over his head or take unnecessary risks. He goes faster than everyone by being smoother and in more control of the bike. Not by just hanging it out and sending it.
@2216sammy5 ай бұрын
@@seanhaberman4619 Jett has very close calls in EVERY SINGLE RACE , that's not riding in control . Even he admits he's willing to take big risks to win , nobody else is willing that's why he's winning .
@seanhaberman46195 ай бұрын
@2216sammy You keep spouting this off every week. The last crash he had wasn't from sending it, just a mental error. He didn't have any big mistakes at Daytona and he was going far faster than anyone. You're just desperately clinging to this idea he's riding over his head because you can't accept his comfort zone is so much faster than your hero Eli is capable of going. Jett didn't go 22-0 in outdoors by riding over his head. He's just capable of riding faster while being in control than anybody else is. Get over it.

Eli was impressive. Not perfect, but impressive. We wouldn’t be talking about his flaws if there were no Jett. The only reason Eli is being picked apart is because of Jett. “Eli, the old man, returns as King of Daytona after a season-ending Achilles injury last year!” That would have been the headline… if there were no Jett. 😉 Eli is still a badass, but Jett is elevating the overall game. Kudos to both of these guys! Loving the suspense wondering if Eli can raise his game to compete. Stay tuned!!

@Papparratzi5 ай бұрын
Questions still remain. Are Eli & Chase 100%? My take on Eli is that he learned from Dungey about risks vs reward. It seems know the track was breaking down, he didn’t want to take the risk. Jett on the other hand was and those risks probably made the difference between battling or separating himself with Eli and Chase. Inevitably, a risk will come back to bite you. That said, Eli took more risk trying to compensate in other areas of the track and probably lost time because he was in Brute Mode, not Beast Mode.
@2216sammy5 ай бұрын
That's the difference, Jett even said it . Eli is not willing to take risks and Jett is .

Eli’s suspension was so off. At this point it’s almost like he doesn’t even know it’s bad. Go back and look at A1 2023, so much better. They need to get the bike back up in the stroke and let it spring back up more. Jets bike looks like a deer hopping around the track, Elis bike looked like a walrus on the beach.

This is what I want: Eli beast mode vs Jett in outdoors. Enjoy MX way more its what i grew up racing and i feel like that is where you see who is really the best imo. Not sure if ET3 was going to do it this year or not but Ive been looking forward to it ever since Eli said he is coming back. If Jett beating him in SX is what pushes his decision to have another crack at him, that is what i am hoping for.
