@@carlosbarragan6729 to be fair, I'm sure they would have James in Ricky's position instead, but James doesn't want to commit to the full SX season. That's why he only does a few select rounds mostly ones close to Florida, and then he does a lot of outdoors. Ricky isn't a professional announcer, but he knows the sport for sure, that's always been their thing is to have one common announcer that can relay things to casual fans, and then one ex pro who gets into more detail for the people who want that.

James can seriously break down moto like no one else. His technical insight is incredible and shows yet another reason he was so great on a motorcycle. It wasn’t just balls, it was an extreme intelligence and clear application of that intelligence to be a student of the craft. Wow. We’re incredibly lucky to get his insights in real time as an announcer along with the more in depth analysis here. It’s so great that he’s still involved in moto! Between him, Jase, and Weege moto media has never been in a better place! 🦅🇺🇸🦅

Thanks as always, Bubba. You are the man! I think Deegan is amazing, most rich kids are not that motivated, and don't really focus on much, they know they are set for life. For that kid(Deegan) to get up at 5am and go workout on his own, then work his butt off riding day in and day out like a military routine is simply amazing. You can't make a kid be successful at ANYTHING if they don't want to do it. Deegan grew up in a perfect storm with him being so focused on motocross and the family means to make it happen. He and his family have my respect. It will be fun to see him move to 450 and race with Jett and Hunter. Now if I could just get my kid to mow my lawn, I'd be a happy man, haha.

I agree most silver spoon kids don't have the work ethic that Deegan has but unfortunately for Deegan he's coming out during the Jett era which means Hayden will not win 450 races unless Jett isn't on the track but even then Chase or Hunter takes the top spot. Hayden is in the same situation that Chad Reed was in his whole career but worse.

If Vialle was penalized Deegan should be also. Sexton was the only one who followed the rules and he lost 4 or 5 seconds. If you're off track you should absolutely lose 3 to 5 seconds if you stay off the gas and re enter safely. Not a tenth or two.

@@Superxnmxfan Sexton was the only one that didn't accelerate. RV on the title 24 podcast explains this pretty well. Its definitely a gray area but the third time Deegan went off it was pretty much intentional. Didn't even try to stay on course. I think Deegan would have won regardless, he was flying, but I don't think Vialle should have been penalized. If you go off track like that back in the day you hit hay bails or banners and go down. Definitely gonna lose some seconds in that case. Even in Supercross you go off track you usually end up on the ground because of tough blocks

When did Haiden cheat? Haiden is a racer, that’s it. He can’t help if the officials don’t penalize him, that’s not his decision to make. He also doesn’t build the motors for his bikes or know anything about them, so he isn’t cheating if the bike at Loretta’s was illegal, that would be on his team for putting him on an illegal bike (which nobody has any idea if it was illegal or not, so quit acting like it was). But, if you knew anything about this sport you’d know that the majority of racers cheat, especially in amateur racing 🤣. It’s a pretty huge issue so stop acting like the Deegans are the only ones to ever “cheat”, even though neither of those two incidents you named had anything to do with cheating. One was a team not wanting to get rid of their home they spent a long time perfecting for their rider, which doesn’t mean it was illegal just because they didn’t want some nobody kid to have it and the other was a 50/50 on whether or not what he did while off track was within the rules or not, once again, not cheating. You can’t say someone cheated just because the officials didn’t penalize them 🤣🤦‍♂️ man, you deegan haters are fucking dumb, but hilarious. None of y’all have EVER said anything about a rider that has done the same shit but any time Haiden does any little thing, y’all are all over the internet crying about it 🤣🤣 and then being up something from 3 years ago. Then later Deegan was on the podium and everybody kept congratulating him for going 1-1 and I was waiting for Mike to come out and make the call that he was penalized and Kitchen would get first in that moto. I thought the overall was going to be a 1-2 tie between Deegan and Kitchen.

You still have to pass Jett, both Lawrence’s said they missed the mark on the bikes for the 2nd motto and where did they run. That should concern everyone that’s them on a bad bike setup. Deegan went off track 3 times, one of those he didn’t even try to stay on. He kept the speed and made the jumps. Viale went off once, he’s docked a position so either do the same to Deegan, or give Viale the position back.

He did let up every time. One of the times it was probably not enough but it wasn’t like he was full throttle. The worst of the incidents was first moto anyway and wouldn’t have changed anything in the overall, just a few points. Either way, they made their decision so everyone needs to just move on. I do agree that they should have went ahead and took Vialles penalty away though but it is what it is. When you win and when you’re the money maker for whatever sport, especially in your hometown, you get a little bit off leeway. They’ve also penalized him before and not others for the same exact thing in sx so it evened that out. That whole off track rule and penalty is dumb either way.

Bubba your point regarding Deegan is 100% correct. However I will mention an interesting point. I am a combat veteran and a life coach. So my view is these athletes are kids 17-21. The media should realize the level of stress and pressure these guys manage week after week to WIN. In addition to this they have to get better and better while training to even be able to compete at this level. So my point is my feeling is the fan and the media should figure out how to encourage these kids good and bad if there intention looks to be inside the rules. So congratulations to both guys for not eating dirt because the motorcycle and the track seems to have sent them OB. Both of those guys are crazy fast so why do we hate the winner, it isn't just a penalty for going of track it is that he is focused, on the racing and the fans. Unfortunately, there have been many young world-class athletes That hang it up for good because of the constant negativity.

Hunter rode fantastic, but once Chase got around him and started to gain on Jett, Jett turned the wick up to keep that gap on Chase, but they put 40 secs on Hunter, I guess Hunter will only get better as well, but you can see Jetts on another lvl and Chase.

Love it or hate it, Haiden is herre to stay. we all know he is a beast! you can talk all the shit you want but people know his riding skills are gnarly. he might have a loud mouth but dude his riding is amazing! hes going to be dangerous until the day he retires. Im stepping in haidens wagon, hes legit. that second moto holeshot Whip has to be the most amazing whip since bubbas era.

And Jett allows his bike to roll freely into the next corner. I just do not see Jett mentally "pause" to "set up" for the turn like most racers do. He enters turns smoothly - without brakes - and so he was quicker.

James, from my observation, when Haiden Deegan got off track he was accelerating but he immediately let off the gas. However, when Tom Vialle got off track he was accelerating the whole time all the way back to the track (you can see the roost on his back wheel). I think that's why he was penalized and Haiden didn't. I love your show by the way!

I said it last year Jett’s bike rebounds so much faster than the rest of the field. He is set up more like a desert/off-road setting. That why he hits certain sections because the bike will kick. The rebound is also why jet can hop over sections or can clear some things easier and as James stated his bike climbs up on top faster and better than others.

Ive got a question for the show! james, dosent it seem like jetts bike has a whole different power delivery then everyone else bike? his bike sounds like its always in the lower end range but in the power while he carries momentum his bike is working for him.is power managment the key to jetts speed?

Deegan is the last guy on the class Levi wants to “blast off the track”. Idk if you haven’t been watching or what, but Haiden is an aggressive rider and knows how to take someone out and he’s very damn strong for an 18 year old and if Levi did that, Haiden would 100% give it back to him 100x worse and end Levi’s season. And if Levi went that far then Haiden would know his words got to Levi and he would just laugh and itd be over for Levi at that point.

According to one of the judges on the situation between the 2, the difference maker was tom was on the gas never looked back to get back on wich showed no worries of a loss of time and someone being there, and haiden looked back when getting back on the track.

Hunter looked so dang good. I dont think Hunter would hesitate to end Jetts streak. I think Hunter is extremely intelligent, and probably followed Jett to learn. He was obviously faster in areas, but being his first 450 outdoor race, why not follow and learn as much as possible? I think he could have passed Jett but Jett would have gotten him back later in the moto inevitably. Hunter is gritty and tough, but hes also very smart, and following Jett and Chase as long as possible to learn will make him incredibly dangerous as the season moves forward. I didnt see a rider that was timid at all, I saw a guy who is gathering information so he can beat Jett straight up when he is ready. I think Hunter WILL end Jetts streak. Chase will keep Jett honest, but Hunter will be the one to end the streak straight up.

My wife can’t stand Haiden, she thinks he’s cocky af and he is.. but I tried to explain to her exactly what Stew said about him. He’s playing mind games. The fans aren’t with these guys, don’t know their relationships and how they get along so we can’t comment on what something really means. Haiden knows what he’s doing and I’m here for it. I want all the guys to have their own personality.

People need to realise ALL these guys are thinking like this. How many times did Webb know Kenny was gonna fade in Supercross, how many times did Jett not worry Sexton was close to him because he knows he’s going to make a mistake eventually etc… Only difference is Haiden ain’t scared to actually say it, I love it personally

depends on how many subs you have and who your parents are. Same as Anderson and everyone else getting a fine. But the Lawrence bros can do whatever they want on the track. They can't rig the races but they can push it as much as they can in a riders favor. All about money

The AMA is going off a outdated rule book meant for the 90s Era of motocross and Supercross. They need too revamp the whole rulebook but we all know they won't and only care about their money in the deep pockets. Unless something serious happened on the track that's when they will hand out a penalty that is a 50/50 chance of being legit or complete BS. All the teams and riders know what they can and can't do too mitigate getting penalties.
