Honestly I have PTSD, and I've been in a happy loving marriage for 4 years now, and we just welcomed a beautiful baby girl. But I still wake up sometimes screaming, crying, or hitting and am not aware of my surroundings. Because the trauma dosen't just go away. AND GUESS WHAT? Saying, "My heart goes out to you." to abuse victims and then treating abuse as a joke dosen't magically make it go away either.

As a survivor of severe abusive relationshipS (plural) I am so disgusted by this. I have been dealing with a shit load of PTSD and the first thing I can say is that I don't think the contents of the videos is what took me off guard (it sure did, but not enough to awaken a form of fight or flight) but rather the lack of knowledge and empathy that is shown towards survivors. Setting a milestone for other couple vloggers to make these videos and therefore creating a chain is also my biggest problem with this. As youtube goes, taking insipiration or straight up copying popular videos I am worried of the amount of money the whole "Abusive relationship prank" branch has made as a whole. Please, for anyone watching this wanting to help: donate to a trustable charrity to help people who have been through the hell that it is, and to recover aswell. If you know of a friend or family going through this: don't be afraid to speak up. Domestic violence is something that is way too common. And to everyone who had survived like me, you are STRONG and you are SO MUCH MORE WORTH then what you were told you were! Stay nice in the response section, and also remember: physical violence isn't always the definition of an abusive relationship.

The more I think about it, the more I realize how lucky he is that no one called 911 and no cops showed up on his door prepared to deal with a violent, dangerous, possibly armed man. Obviously the "friends" inside are in on it, but what about neighbors & random passerbys? He's screaming at her on the balcony of a large apartment building in the middle of the day! Possibly doing multiple takes. Plenty of time for people to notice, locate where the screaming is coming from, see them...only to hear a loud slap sound and MORE screaming! I would call 911 if I was nearby. Plus, thanks to the balcony being higher up and the railing likely at least partially obscuring the camera, I don't think it would be too obvious (to anyone who doesn't know them) that they're filming a KZfaq skit. If I was on the ground or in a neighboring balcony, I would just see a crazy man screaming at an upset woman, followed by a slap sound & the woman reacting like he did indeed hit her. Even if you want to point out how it's not like they're fantastic actors or anything, they are genuinely screaming as loud as they can (and it seems he did recreate the sound & appearance of a loud slap)...would you take that chance? Honestly, I hope not! If a similar scene plays out on a balcony near you, the odds that it's actually a fake KZfaq skit is like...1 in a billion. 🤷
