My old man's first car was a 68' Mustang Fastback. My First real car is a 2020 Mustang GT. I love all American muscle cars but there's just something about the Mustang that will always hold a special place in my heart.

Hey I love all mustang's my favorite car. I have had 7 of them.

For my 65th birthday, I bought myself my favorite post-classic Mustang, the S197. Even though I would like more power, it still does great burn outs and makes me smile big time. 2006 GT convertible, stick, black w/red interior, and red Les Mans stripes. The stock exhaust sound is great (my brother worked on it at the Ford NVH Lab in Dearborn). I get lots of comments and drive it anytime I can. No problems with it, baby.

I'm a GM fanboy but I don't understand why the SN95 Mustang gets so much hate when the 4th gen Camaro is the one that looks like a catfish.

Love the inclusion of Saleens in the video! I own an 06 Saleen S281 with a granatelli motorsports turbo kit with 183K miles and I love the Saleen family. Not only that but the Mustang family in general. Nothing is cooler than rolling up with the Saleen Club of America for Saleen Nationals or other club events. But also going to Mustang meets and seeing everybody else's builds with their ponies.

Hey man, I don't care what kind of car it is. Let it be a Challenger, a Dart, a Civic, A Camaro, a Camry, an F-350, a Datsun or a Volvo, as long as you love it more power to you. I have a base model 2017 Ford Fiesta, and I'm talking BASE model with the crank windows. 1.6L 4CYL engine and I absolutely love the thing. My fingers have only been on the wheel for a few months now, and even though it's not off the line as fast as a Hellcat, that doesn't change anything. I've already got some great stories and even better ones to come. Who cares if somebody hates your car, let them, because in the long run it really doesn't effect you.

I grew up in the 90's and EVERYONE had a Mustang. Boy, were those cars ugly. Those late 80's early 90's 5.0 Mustangs that everyone talked about were soooo ugly, yet everyone acted like they were the best cars ever. Back then, I was a Mustang hater. Now? I own a Mustang. I think these new Mustangs are just downright beautiful cars, fun to drive, and I get compliments on it everywhere. Ford has earned my business.

Hey thatdudeinblue, i am a Ford guy, been driving them for 35 yrs. I have a '01 Explorer Limited 4x4 with no rust and i love it. I bought a '65 T bird 3 yrs ago almost mint. But the 3rd year(2019) it kept breaking down and was starting to be a money pit so i sold it in August 2019. I bought a '05 Fire red convertible GT (4.6) with 116,000 wich i love so much. I put flo through mufflers on it, cold air intake , put sequential kit on and ordered a hood scoop for it. I had a '91 Mustang LX yrs ago with i loved and sold it and this year was going to buy another 1 but i loved the look and fat tailights , colour of the '05, i bought it for $10,000. I went on vacation to my uncles house that I haven’t seen in over 10 years and his son (my cousin) had a 2007 Mustang GT. I instantly fell in love and wanted one but at the time I was mid year of my senior year and was 17 years old. So when I graduated i promised myself to buy a 2007 mustang GT by the time I turned 20. Here I am now 20 years old driving my dream car with a beast exhaust setup that will get any girl wet when I rev that bad boy, feels amazing to step back and see what hard work gets you.

After driving sports cars with 300, 400, 500+ horsepower, it took me years to be able to perfect the 500+. People think they can hop in these things and let err' rip. Baby steps is a very very good way to put it. Its a must.

I have loved both my Mustangs. The first car I bought with my own money was a 99 GT with the 5 speed, then I sold it and went through a big import phase. R32 Skyline GTS-T, bug eye WRX, and a couple civics. Now I'm back in a 2016 5.0 premium GT with the performance pack and 6 speed, and honestly it is my favorite car of all that I have owned.

I own a mustang now because not only did my mom have one when she was younger but I fell in love with a fox body when I was 14. Hearing the guy start his car, funny enough his name is ALSO David, I got to talking to him and it was his very first car. He made it from a less than 200 HP notch to an almost 700hp beast of a machine. Seeing and hearing the car start up, the supercharger whine, the cam chop throughout the whole apartment complex, that beautiful early 90s mustang growl at idle, I just fell in love with it and vowed to own a mustang one day. 14 years later I own my dream car, I may catch some flack because it's an ecoboost but we all have to start somewhere. I love my car and the smile it puts on my face when im rowing through the gears on the highway before and after work. To me it's not just a car, it's a piece of me that I've always needed

Honestly I smile everytime I walk out the house and see my beautiful all white mustang just sitting there. Waiting for me to hop in. My auntie promised me her 2002 mustang GT and it was all red with a convertible top. She said when I graduate high school I can have it. I graduated back in 09 and she ended up selling that mustang because she needed money. Ever since I saw it I fell in love with the shape of the car itself. How streamlined it looks. From classic to modern day. So in September of 2018, few months ago, I went to a dealership with bad credit and only 1200 to put down. I was looking at the Ford Fusion. I filled out the credit application and I literally said please let me leave this car lot with a new car. Anything I don't care I just don't want the Toyota Camry anymore. So the guy comes back and said we got you approved but not for the fusion. He pointed to the 2011 V6 Mustang and said you can drive away in that though. I cried. Everytime I see this car it reminds me that I can make things happen as long as I believe it can happen. So now I drive my dream car. I'm currently working on putting exterior mods on it before I do the performance mods but this car is my life. I don't want to drive anything else unless it's a newer model mustang.

I was a c5 corvette owner when younger and hated mustangs. Now that I am older I got me a platinum white 2017 5.0 and love it. I can't even get in and out of a corvette easily anymore. Mustang is beautiful, fast, fun, affordable and easy on an old geezers hips. Haters just go and drive a 5.0 and compare to sticker price of new corvette. Almost twice as much!

The thing about how cheap parts are is true but also, Mustangs have a huge aftermarket. I have a '68 Mustang sitting in pieces down in the garage and I could go online right now and find replacements for all the components and begin rebuilding it today if I wanted.

Some people hate them because of brand allegiance too. The Chevy guy with the Camaro typically hates Mustangs and thinks the Camaro is superior. Then you have the crowd of people who for some delusional reason think that their foreign Honda or Toyota or Subaru is superior to a Mustang. Sn95 mustang cobra challenged my 310whp NA dc5, when we came out of corners and hit the straight away I hit 3rd got beside him, and my son waved as I sand bagged and then walked away from him down the front strip. I hope he gets it together and tries again next year. Super cool car it didnt move at all compared to new ones

I’m a Mopar guy, own a Hellcat Redeye but I don’t hate the Mustang. A few of your reasons are why I like the Mustang. Never ceased production, stayed true to its roots. The only problem with Mustangs crowd surfing is the drivers. The Mustang can be slightly squirrelly in the rear but nothing an experienced driver can’t handle. 90 percent of the wrecks I see is the driver not letting off the gas in time, even as he is clearly heading to a crowd

My reason for not really being a fan of the mustang is pretty much the same reason why I’m not too much of a fan of the civic or a camaro: they’re too common (Not that I hate them, the civic is reliable and cheap. The mustang and camaro are the best power for the money and they look GOOD) I guess the reason why a lot of people follow the civic is because they root for the underdog (plus it’s cheap and aftermarket parts for those cars are endless) everyone’s seen those videos of a really stock looking civic that’s heavily modded under the hood and beats a lambo. In all, I’d say some people want something unique. Something apart from having what everyone else has. I feel that maybe this is probably the reason why some car enthusiasts would rather choose other cars than the popular mustang. Maybe some can relate to this.

I could relate and my story is very similar on how I fell in love with Mustangs. When I was in high school in the late 80’s, my sister got into an car accident. When her car was being repaired, the insurance company rented us a gray Foxbody. I went with my dad and he took it to drive to the store. As he was driving it through our neighborhood, I asked him if I could drive it. As soon as I turned the key to start the ignition, I heard the engine roar, I instantly fell in love and I told myself, I had to get one of these. I was hoping and praying that we could keep the rental , but unfortunately we didn’t. Before I got married in 1994, I was seriously considered purchasing a SN95, I couldn’t afford it at the time so I changed my mind. Two years later I rented red SN95 convertible for our wedding anniversary to drive to Key West. When I was watching Lethal Weapon 4, on one of the chase scenes, they used a Pontiac Grandam, which through special visual and sound effects it made the car sporty, being that it look similar to a Mustang, I purchased a used one, big mistake. It was a nice car, but as soon as it hit 100,000 miles, the car gave me a lot of problems. I finally purchased a black used one before moving to the Bahamas in 2007. She is running good and I recently put an Xpipe with new Flowmaster 40’s that i had installed a couple years back. When my Xpipes were installed, I also just realized that there were a pair of Catalytic Convertors still left, which I thought all were cut out many years ago. Now she sounds great, the same sound that I fell in love with the Pony car as a teenager. Just got her repainted her black with red racing stripes, a hood scoop and quarter window louvers and a 5.0 fender emblem, with new racing seats in the interior, chrome knobs and GT floor mats, it’s literally a new car.

Great story about your Dad and your first Mustang. I just bought my first mustang at age 51...a 2018 GT350. I love the thing. I had to drive the car home 1200 miles from the dealership where I bought it. It was awesome. So many thumbs up and fist pumps! Driving across some of the desolate highways of the Dakota's and Montana , I really got to see what the car has in her. Awesome! Some day, when I get over my mid-life crisis, I hope to hand it down to my daughter.

I love your video on this. I must add! I hear a lot of people try to say it's the live axle that causes crashes. The live axle is not any different than the S550 around a corner it's only different if there are decent bumps/holes. Every rear wheel car spins out around a corner if the power given is more than the tire traction also. The mustangs we see crash are not crashing because of bumps in the road. People really underestimate how many mustangs there are on the road compared to other rear wheel drive cars with lots of power and torque. Like in 2016 the mustang sold worldwide like more than all the other cars in it's class combined over 150,000. It's been the best seller in it's class for like 50 years in the US. Remember the Camaro was not even being made for 6 years from 2003 to 2008 so there are TONs more mustangs. On top of there being just more cars, there are more mustang only car shows and clubs etc than any other single car model. What this means is there are tons more situations where there are people around mustangs with cameras video taping at mustang exclusive events not to mention there are tons of mustangs at every other car show so the chance of taping the car accident and it being a mustang is even more inflated. There is nothing different about the mustang causing it to crash, it's just simple statistics. Every rear wheel car with power will spin around the same way if you turn the wheel and gas it. Quite honestly I am tired of the Mustang meme.

I was 11 when my father drove a Nissan Sentra. He test drove a 87 Mustang GT... needless to say, he bought it, and a 90, and a 99 Lightning. Lotta fun!!!

My dad still has his first car, a 1964 1/2 Mustang convertible with pony package, in perfect shape and daily drives a 2015 GT convertible. He has owned at least 7 mustangs as daily drivers (09 gt/cs, mustang 2, few others). My Uncle has a 1965 convertible, a 1970 mach 1 and a 2013 gt500. My older brother had a 1989 5.0 fox body in highschool, sister had a 2004 GT in highschool, little brother had a 2004 gt and a 2013 GT. Cousin has a 72 convertible. My grandpa has a 68 convertible (and a 70s Riviera), and I have a modded 11 coyote and a 18 ecoboost. Mustangs are a family affair!
