Hello. Just wondering if anyone has tried the Hart rotary tool for carving? I recently received it as a gift and I'm interested in giving carving a try, but not sure where to start.

As long as you have the correct bits, shouldn't be an issue. Also if it's a standard size, get a flexshaft for better ergonomic use, less likely to make mistakes in smaller details

It sounds like you’re describing what is kind of the essence of making music and making original art, which is when you hit a blue note an off note, and you need to actually play more of them and try and play it off basically almost like a cat, who actually falls, tries to act like he meant to do that edit back into the pattern and now you have a little twist the fuck now you have something approaching your own style

how would you bring the deep spot up? would it be acceptible to use wood filler, then just let it harden and sand it down? would be ugly but wouldnt rly matter if you were painting it, right?

Is that little machine as good as a dremel with a flexible shaft for carving? I have never seen one before but I have a dremel with the flexible shaft. I'm guessing you have both ?

They both have there place for different types of carving. And yes, I have a lot of flex shaft machines :)

@@CorneliusCreations I bought my dremel a few years back to try my hand at carving stone but I have used it more in the garage cutting striped out rusted bolts and screws, such a handy little tool to have. Your wood carving is outstanding 👏 👌

That's the hand piece I use in my dental lab. 35K RPM. I don't carve wood though.
