Life is kind of trippy. You walk through life expecting everybody to like you at first, and then they don't and you're sat there like "wtf did I do?" And you can't please everybody. No matter how stupid it seems, that's a "them" problem. They don't appreciate, nah, leave me alone and let me do my moves. Great content!

I was in a supermarket an hour ago. Tried to talk to a girl in the parking lot after 2 years of not approaching a single soul. It went horrible, of course. Even worse: she was with her mom and dad. They just ignored me as if I was a homeless guy. Stayed inside my car with facepalm for half a hour feeling like the most useless creature on the planet. Then I got home and this video actually gave me some comfort. At least I felt alive again and for a moment people weren't mere shadows passing by.

Proud of you for doing that. Don’t dwell on how bad it went. Focus on you did what you wanted to do and if there was improvement then that’s AMAZING, think how you could’ve done better and make a plan for next time. Maybe it would’ve been a good idea right after that happened to reassess in your car and then just pick a random girl to do that to again to walk away from the situation feeling like a winner not a loser. Btw you’re not a loser, losers think and never act, winners try multiple outcomes, fail repeatedly but learn what they did wrong and try and not make those same mistakes again. Also (side note) let’s say you did everything perfect with them, you were confident, said what you wanted with no trip up in your words and it went perfect, if they started to yell at you or do something completely put field from what you would expect, you need to not let there negative energy influence your positive energy. (This is pretty rare but it does happen, then you might possibly think, wtf am I actually the messed up person? Should I act like them?) you can’t control other peoples thoughts or feelings only your own and how you take them is dependent on you. Much love, stay safe, and youre a winner bro

I work as a Kindergarten substitute teacher. What i learn from these kids is invaluable. You get to feel that its all real. The energy fields, everything. When all the kids ignore you, until you find that sensation and you become surrendered, all the kids jump on you like you are a magnet for cuddling Or when and a kid is on his way to you, so you notice and become needy. Almost every kid without fail will just turn on their feet and go do something else.

I used to do spoken word competitions and go to performance workshops all the time, now I interview artists and do podcasts and still deal with everything you talked about, all those workshops yet never seen a speaker like you before. Everything I really needed to hear, cool, direct, relatable, and called me out on a lot about myself I hadn’t realized I became comfortable with yet left me feeling uplifted and refreshed. Thank you!!

I was at a park yesterday in stormy weather. I saw a woman around my age (30 ish) feeding stray cats in the park. I saw her from a far and approached her. I commanded her for taking care of the cats. She smiled and said she's doing what she can. We chatted a bit about the cats then walked off. It was a nice exchange, a little unexpected but that's what makes it memorable. I wasn't expecting to see anyone in that damn weather. Now, I am a very private person but I'm authentic. My outside persona isn't a fake one, it's the real me and it gets to flex it's muscles and act freely when I'm in the presence of strangers. I'm a lot more unhinged while talking to new people. The thing is, I've learned to look at the big picture kind of like watching the situation from the third person. I know nothing's gonna happen romantically and knowing that makes you free from the shackles of idealized to death romantic situations and fantasies. So just approaching her from a neutral standpoint and actually mean what I say was my goal. It was important to let her know her taking care of stray animals was appreciated so she would feel motivated to keep going. I was very isolated since the pandemic as well but for different reasons. I got stuck in living conditions I don't like while at the same time shedding my old friendships after realizing they have become harmful to me. I have social anxiety but I guess it's in a different form and not very visible to the outside. I have no problem chatting people up or going into huge crowds and events. What I have a problem is when my privacy is broken. I don't like going to intimate events like birthdays, gatherings where there is only a handful of people and they all know me. I guess it's not social anxiety but I have no tolerance left for familiar people anymore. I'm not sure what to call that exactly. I've been binge watching Julien for a while and it's so helpful and entertaining but even he would get confused about my feelings lol. I can be very social and am very in tune and comfortable with myself but have no tolerance left for people who wronged me, suppressed me, oppressed me in some way. This includes my family as well. Perhaps I was always meant to be a lone wolf and start my life fresh in a distant place.

I’ve struggled with social anxiety most of my life. My conclusion is that ego danger is similar to actual danger. The difference is that ego danger is based on beliefs so you can change what is or isn’t ego danger but you can’t eliminate ego danger entirely.

@@goldythefish36 Just sit there to contemplate it all after you come back because you're gonna see such crazy and radical things in these trips. That when you come back you're gonna be like what the fuck was that? And you're gonna spend a week just in the shower, what the fuck was that? Cooking your food, what the fuck was that? Driving to work, what the fuck was that? Sitting at work doing your work, what the fuck was that? Thinking that. Trying to wrap your mind around it. Try to remember and trying to figure it out and that's a very valuable process.

people don't know what it feels like to REALLY be in danger. they lack context. it's like when you're always depressed but you think you're ok because you never experienced actually being ok. that's how i was for the last 10 years. of course i don't know how it feels to really be in danger either. but i have experienced much worse than not being captivating in front of a crowd.

My honest opinion from experience if you want it: Open up to yourself first, practice being yourself just by yourself and progress outward. Around pets, then 1 family member then maybe 2 I've had to move to the woods and live on my own as I just couldn't do it anymore. But, I still felt like the trees and birds were judging me for singing and dancing only little outbursts something I'd never do in public. I Realised that the problems we carry are within you not without you, change the internal and let the external take care of itself. Big steps small progress a time will come when you feel ready if you continue the work.

when you do the meditation on social anxiety for example do you feet the same EXACT fear as when you are outside with people or is it different ??
@danieldandrade10
@danieldandrade10 Жыл бұрын
It's different in that you are able to process what comes up. You have the space and time to feel and witness your sensations in meditation. As oppose to being in the social situation when you're experiencing fear but still have to navigate the situation you're in. The sensations that come up are the ones you want to feel. Meditation gives you the opportunity to do this.
