But… thats not a 1 stroke engine, that engine just has all the pistons lined up. When an engine is a “4 stroke” it means that the engine has to do, 4 up or down movements before a power stroke. The only real “1 stroke” I can think of would be a steam train, since the piston does a power stroke every stroke. But of course a steam train’s combustion comes from the firebox, not the cylinder

steam its called double acting still a 2 stroke engine. I have worked on them and still do to this day.

A one stroke engine would probably be a rotor with CONSTANT combustion and exhaust cycles. Oh wait, that exists (Gas turbines)

I've seen the video of this engine project and it is pretty cool but I've gotta say the balance was absolutely nonexistent since the engine jumped up and down like crazy.

This is not a 1-stroke, it’s just a standard 4-stroke with a firing interval of 720°.

One stroke would mean the piston only traves in one direction and it never changes. Those that are saying its like a steam engine are incorect as those are double acting, and still are two stroke engines your just applying power on both sides of the piston. Steam engines are external combustion engines. I work on steam engines and have a mechanics bacground fom 3 years in school, ive also built a single acting steam engine and have a video of both it and the train i work on. I beleve this may be a click bait title and translational error on g54's side.

1 Stroke Enigne is a Catchphrase, right? Extremely odd fireing interval would be more fitting, but i like the idea^^ What about some different timings that would never make it into production? 90-90-90-90-360 perhaps? Or even more crazy? 45-135-135-45-360?

You need to code the engine yourself but there are guides for it so it shouldn't be that difficult. But then again I tried to modify an existing engine to have a different firing order (very simple) and the engine basically exploded so🤷
