I gotta admit that the only reason the amex gold card has been working out a lot more for me on the supermarket side, is because it codes Walmart Neighborhood as 4x and I have 2 of them in a short radius.

I got the C1VX in late 2021. Likely had 30+ credit cards at the time. I've seen a lot of data points of people being denied for too many open accounts, but I don't know if a timeframe is involved with that.

Hi Mark, wanted to give you interesting observation. I went through the capital one venture portal. To book a flight out of Philadelphia. All the fights to Nashville were one stop one America airlines. When I went to AA directly most of the flight were NON STOP.

Yes. Simply by having your Amex Platinum / Amex Gold Card added to your Uber Wallet means you'll receive your Uber Cash each month. You then use the Uber Cash to pay for a ride or delivery. If the total ends up being more than your Uber Cash funds, then you can charge the rest of it to any card you like, including the Capital One SavorOne.

Hi Mark I'm rewatching your videos again. I've been thinking about this for a while tonight. If I want a Chase Trifecta I think my next card should be the Chase Freedom Unlimited card. The 5/24 rule is making up my mind to apply for it in May. Using the Citi 60 day rule might help my chances a little bit. I really don't need it. I have a TD Bank Cash card. If I don't make it my next card then I'll have to wait in Feb. I have 4 cards inside 5/24. I got the Amazon Prime Card, I'm not a fan of having to pick & choose categories. I guess the Chase Trifecta isn't that over rated as it seems, it just depends what 3 cards from Chase a person has to make it their own. I don't see it anywhere where the Chase trifecta is mandated that there shall be no substitute for one Freedom card for the Prime card. Mark special thanks to your replies.

What do you think about this . My capitol one card has a300 dollar limit, but they offer so munch, the card does not have enough credit to do anything with.

1. You could spend on the card & make payments along the way to bring the balance back down (and free up room for more purchases). 2. You could request a credit limit increase. If so, be sure to ask if a hard pull on your credit report is involved, and then proceed if you're ok with the answer.

I already maxed out the Digital Wallets category on Discover. I had some repairs needed on my car and the shop accepted Digital Wallets. I still do have a targeted offer I got via email for 5% Restaurant for the months of July and August, up to $1000 in spend. My Discover card is gonna be lonely in September 😅

It's a great card! There will always be more "what about XYZ" card, but this video had to end at some point 😄 That said, almost all of the other cash back cards mentioned in this video also have the ability to work with other cards for even better value for travel (exception = Discover it Cash Back...but the 'Cashback Match' in Year 1 can be amazing on its own).

Question: when I was originally approved for the chase freedom unlimited my credit limit was only $2500 so it wasn’t a visa signature. But since then I have gotten another chase card and moved some of the credit limit over to my unlimited so now it’s $15000. Can I call chase and ask to have my unlimited upgraded to a visa signature version?

I run a chase trifecta with the a splash of an Amex gold and the blue business plus (I’ve yet to pull the trigger on that Amex platinum cause of the annual fee and don’t feel the need to run two high annual fee trifectas if I get the capital one venture x or and the capital one). I’m really considering that capital one duo though.

If you don't use a BLT card. You have the protection of renters' eviction laws. This favors you. Landlords love cards. They can extract more money from you. So it depends. The question is do you feel lucky renter?

@@chriseverydailyshow4164 - Well, that's exactly what I'm going to say. When I have a travel focus, I choose miles because they can be so much more valuable than cash back. When I have a cash focus, I choose cash back. There's no other determining factor as I don't debate between the 2 cards. When 1 is in use, the other gets no use at all.

@@chriseverydailyshow4164 - Yes, but for me that value lies in the "points eraser" feature. I like being able to redeem Capital One miles at 1¢ per point to wipe out travel-related transactions after the fact when it comes to things like non-chain hotels, ground transportation, rental cars, etc.

See 13:10. It says "On up to $1,500 in combined spend per qtr." That implies a maximum of $75 earned because 5% x $1,500 = $75.

How come the citi premier card is often overlooked and underrated?

The reasons may vary for different people. One reason is the lack of insurance coverages. It's one of the only mid-tier / 'premium' travel cards that doesn't offer any protections for delays, cancelations, lost luggage, etc. Another reason is points have no additional boost in value when redeeming via the Citi travel portal (like Chase does with a 25% boost with the CSP or 50% boost with the CSR). Another reason is 0 domestic airline transfer partners. Although you don't need that to fly domestically, it definitely makes things more complicated.

Credit One, seriously? You actually might have dodged a bullet there. They are red listed for me. Read too much of their sketchy fine print. Partially predatory. They only exist because they are mooching off of Capital One’s logo. Get a Citi Double Cash and increase your limit every six months.

@@MarkReese very curious how this works. I applied for the Disocver It the day I got my SSN and got approved for it (I'm non-American). I worked part-time and my pay was average at best. None of my peers advised me to apply for a secured line card. Wonder why that is!

You are missing the Redstone Federal Credit Union card called the Visa Signature, compare every category and you'll see it won't be beat, it's sign up bonus is just ok but as a cash back card it's the best

I assume you are confusing or mixing up the SUB for Capital One SavorOne and Savor credit cards. According to the Capital One website SavorOne is $200 earn after $500 spend. Whereas Capital One Savor is $300 earn after $3000 spend. I am still waiting for MaxRewards app to be compatible with Chase.

Re: the C1 Savor One card. Might want to point out to your audience that there are about 15 versions of this card. OK, there are "only" 4. But only the version for "excellent credit" [as defined by C1] has the $200 SUB. The versions for "good" and "fair" credit get nothing. And you won't know which version you will be getting until you apply and as is always the case with C1, whether you are approved or denied, they are going to hit you with 3 hard pulls.

I could get an Amex card but the credits aren't worth to me since Uber eats and doordash isn't widely available if at all where I live if it had other credits like travel credit I would go for one like the Gold since I eat out a lot

The entertaiment bonus is huge on the SavorOne. Big spenders would do better with the amex gold in terms of food, but getting 3% back on bowling, theme parks, concerts, plays, shows and movie theaters is HUGE! No other card offers anything close, let alone at no fee AND a welcome bonus that can move to transfer partners. I'd be surprised if this card isn't watered down a year from now.

Great card for cash back! I wanted to keep this video at 10 cards or less, so naturally there are plenty of other solid cards that weren't covered.
